  1. Our work rules Dress code This job curtails a lot of hard, sweaty labor. Jeans, T-shirt and work boots required. We don't care what condition they're in because you will be throwing them out after wearing them a few times.. Pay You get paid what we think you earned. No more, no less. Pay day occurs when we get paid for the job. The faster you work the faster the job is completed and pay day arrives quicker. Sick days You must be one sick desperate person to be working for us. Personal days The only days you get off are the days that the boss doesn't want to work. That rarely occurs. Bereaveme
  2. Leave the new ones running. Those for the tablet will re-enable themselves if stopped. Definitely use Min Lins program to stop any services. You should be able to restart them using that program. As for the yellow shading that may be a security feature of the browser to let you know that you should check that it is secure before supplying information in those fields.
  3. If it is a Socket 478 processor then the motherboard should have a ZIF socket similar to the AMD Socket A processor. There should be a lever to one side that is used to release the processor.
  4. You're not really safe no matter where you park. I watched two young dumb blonds push their carts out into the parking lot at my local grocery store and laugh as the carts rolled downhill out into the major highway. The store worker had to chase the carts down the middle of the highway through heavy traffic. If people like this can't handle a cart I would be worried about their driving. I have parked in an empty area of a store's parking lot away from the entrances only to have my car hit. Naturally no note left. Probably too stupid to write.
  5. This is from your first Startup list. This is the recommended action with the startup list. "Y" - Normally leave to run at start-up "N" - Not required - typically infrequently used tasks that can be started manually if necessary (Disable) "U" - User's choice - depends whether a user deems it necessary "X" - Definitely not required - typically viruses, spyware, adware and "resource hogs" "?" - Unknown Startup (common) U• Acrobat Assistant - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Distillr\AcroTray.exe Used to create PDF files with Acrobat Distiller. For Win9x*systems you can run this file manuall
  6. I would try to do a System restore from Safe Mode. How to start the System Restore tool at a command prompt in Windows XP I would also run HijackThis and post the log. Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs
  7. When I dropped the hammer on that old GTX you thought your body was going to go through the back of the seat. I had bet people that they couldn't grab a folded $100 bill that was hanging halfway out the glovebox with it closed while I went through all 4 gears. You would have loved my '69 Super Bee with the 440 6 pack. It was scary. Even my '68 Road Runner with a well warmed over 383 was awesome. I loved the old Mopar muscle cars. They definitely weren't road course vehicles (unless equipped with the Petty oval package) but straight line performance was totally unreal.
  8. Did you try to drag the new window to the size you want, close the first one then hold down the Ctrl key while clicking the x to close the second window?
  9. If the music is good I listen to it. I don't care what the artist's view is. I have my own views and pay no mind to others. As for the Dixie Chicks they may share some of my views but their music isn't my scene. I like some of K.D. Lang's stuff yet I love eating beef. I hear her tunes without any pictures in my head of her kissing anything. I could never stand that pervert PeeWee or his show.
  10. A dyno type drag machine can't replace the actual feel of a true race. I would take a passenger for a "quick" ride in my '69 Hemi GTX. Their facial expressions would tell the whole story of them feeling the massive torque as I slammed second gear, the slicks gripped and the front tires lifted. It was a combination of fear and awe.
  11. Could have been caused by the power shortages in many areas. This heat is taking a toll on everything.
  12. Google Toolbar works fine for me with IE. I used POW! about 5 years ago with IE5.x. It was very easy to mess up and block something that shouldn't be. Opera's popup blocker works quite well.
  13. You should be able to find the adapter at Best Buy, CompUSA and etc. LAPTOP to IDE HARD DRIVE ADAPTER
  14. Happy birthday to the old guy! You're slowly catching up.

  16. Possible bad crystal on the motherboard or the battery wasn't any good. Motherboard loses time?
  17. Good find mac. Hope it works out very well.
  18. I keep about 2 1 gallon milk jugs filled with water on each shelf of my big freezer at all times. If the power goes out they last for several days and keep the food cold. For emergency coffee making I put the coffee in a filter then use a rubber band to close it and drop it into a pan of boiling water on my gas stove or grill. Of course if I just need a quick caffeine fix I just make tea. Regular unleaded is $3.03 at the cheap stations here. That is with a reduction of 4 percent county and 4 percent state tax per gallon passed at the beginning of July.
  19. Damn I'm an "old" man with a limited income and I always find ways to make a few spare bucks. It comes about by being creative and getting off one's lazy ass. When I was a kid in the '60s I made at least $25-$45 a week just doing lawns and a paper route. Back then that was good money.
  20. I need a mug of strong coffee. Maybe several. I am beat and burned. Laying up a 5' x 140' stone retaining wall the last three HOT days has taken a toll. No shade or breeze where the wall is going up. I am waiting to see how bad the rain storm approaching will be. Looks like flood warnings in the area I was planning on starting another wall today. Mac has a new chick?! What's the scoop there pal?
  21. It takes awhile to get used to constant pain. I have learned to ignore some of it. Of course right now I feel like a concrete truck ran over me. It's been 5 years since I have done a continuous day of hard labor. I now know why I didn't miss doing masonary jobs. Congrats on the promo!
  22. Sticky arrow key or touchpad? Bad driver? Are you using an external mouse?
