$2.95-$3.02 for 87 octane here. The oil companies are getting ready to gouge us for the summer. Those minor refinery "accidents" should have been cleared up by now. A couple of grocery stores here are offering $ .10/gallon off gasoline for every $50 spent in the store. I can't really complain. If you compare gas prices with inflation we are still getting a deal. The type of vehicles I used to drive in the seventies would cost me more for gas per month than the trucks I drive now. There's a big difference between 7-10 mpg muscle cars that ran 100 octane and the newer trucks that average 17-24 m

I don't do lists. I just make a rash decision to start a project then don't quit until it's done. My next project is to gather up all of the old computer parts and box them so I can take them to the recycle station. Once they are gone I will have room to continue with cleaning the interior of the house. I am getting tired of tripping over old monitors and towers. For now on the customer will receive their old system to recycle themselves.

Spring cleaning time. I completely tore down my computer to clean it. While it was apart I decided to install a new PSU, HDD, new heatsink/fan and more memory plus a fresh install. While doing that a customer ordered a custom built PC plus 2 others came in for their spring cleaning and upgrades. I still have some programs to install on my PC and get it set up the way I want it. I have also been out to my worksites to see if the winter weather caused any damage and tell the home owners I will be there to start up again as soon as the frost and mud is gone. Spring is also the time to clean my ho

You're talking about a RAID setup. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAID http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/perf/raid/ -
When it rains the dog is in. That mongrel is a nuisance when someone is trying to accomplish anything. He needs to stick his nose into the project.

The bathroom has the only register than he can get close to. Naturally it blows his shedded hair all over the room. I also leave a 15W bulb on in the bathroom so I can see my way at night. I think my dog dislikes the dark.

Sometimes it is hard to distinguish between the Inquirer and Enquirer. As for Vista check out JSKY's site for all your Vista tips and tweaks. http://members.rushmore.com/~jsky/

It is a perfect sunny 76 degree day and I have spent the last 5 hours cleaning the bathroom. I removed every and anything that could be then cleaned from top to bottom. My knees and back are sore from cleaning the toilet and floor. Those foolish disposable mops don't do it for me. Time for me to evict the dog from sleeping in the bathroom. Between the dog hair and his habit of taking some food to bed with him, eeek!

Router For Satellite Broadband

Many satellite setups come with their own modem/router. -
Well the push lawn mower has fresh oil, gas and tune-up. I straightened the garage out so I can tackle the rider. It needs a total overhaul. I finally finished getting the last stump out and rolled it over to the garage. I can now see out my windows. I need to pick up some more Windex. Tomorrow I start on the interior. Blah!

Router For Satellite Broadband
TheTerrorist_75 replied to irregularjoe's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Its complicated, has extra wires, extra noise, extra space, extra electricity... Errr, that's why I went back to a regular router. It's an excellent learning opurtunity though! ??? Extra wires? 1 Cat5 Extra noise? My PC puts out a whole 20-25db. My dog farts louder. Extra space? 8" x 16" Extra electricity? 1-2 light bulbs worth. -
Error Message After Ms Updates
TheTerrorist_75 replied to screi's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
I just did a fresh install on a new hard drive and downloaded all of the updates except for IE7 and WMP 11 on my PC. All is running great so far. No errors *knock on wood*. I have no use for IE7 or WMP 11. Opera works quite well and WMP 9 has always been rock solid for me. -
Router For Satellite Broadband

You should contact marsh_0x. He has worked with satellite systems for a long time. If it were me I would build a stable PC with Smoothwall or something similar installled. Connect the satellite to that and have a NIC card setup for outgoing to a router to serve the rest of your systems. -
I am not even looking forward to the indoor chores. Between the dust from the furnace and the dog hair all over it'll take me a whole day to clean. I think your Harley neighbor moved 2 houses away from me. It's so nice to hear it roar quite a few times, then the constant short runs to see if any improvements were made. Naturally I can't get upset over that after building and owning stock cars for many years. My neighbors used to get up in arms because of the constant tuning. LD

I took the plastic off the windows, cleaned the screens and have opened this place up to air it out this morning. It's 44F right now and supposed to hit 65. The dog gets a surprise bath Saturday when it's supposed to be in the 70s. At least I had an early jump on the lawn a couple of weeks ago and only need to be concerned with mowing once that time has come. There are still a couple of small piles of snow dotted here and there.

I have been busy installing XP on a new larger hard drive. I have tested many programs and now have decided what ones will get installed. I figured I would get a start on a new look first. I installed the Zune theme.

This has been going on with Google for well over a year. It is no different then going to White Pages Reverse Phone Search and inputting your number. In fact there are many reverse phone search listings available through any search site. There are also sites where anyone can get personal information on anyone for a few dollars.

A Few Questions About The Opera Browser
TheTerrorist_75 replied to Falcon1986's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
For Ad blocking click Tools> Advanced> Blocked Content... This brings up the urlfilter. Just copy the link or section (wildcards can be used), click the Add button and paste or type what you want blocked. I usuallt copt the whole URL then use to Edit button to shorten the URL and place a wildcard in. Sometimes I am rushed an too lazy to go back and Edit. If you want to add items manually make sure Opera is closed and migrate to your Opera profile folder and you you see urlfilter.ini This is a copy of my older urlfilter.ini Opera Preferences version 2.1 ; Do not edit this file while Ope -
Wait for someone to walk you through your log. You have a couple of unidentified files.
