What type of video? Have you scanned your system for malware? Have you installed any new programs just before this started?

Download IrfanView and it's plug-ins to work with the .mov files. IrfanView is an excellent free image editor. In both IE and OE make sure Work Offline isn't checked. (Edit > Work Offline)

On the offline problem> IE6 or 7?

I have no need for Vista. XP is supported until 2014. Who knows what will be out by then. My system is stable and doing everything asked of it. I for one am not impressed by the "additional security" woven into Vista. My system is well hardened against attacks. I also don't need the fancy graphics. XP is "pretty" enough for me. Heck, I actually like the old Win98 look.

I have never owned a Ford truck that got good gas mileage. Even my 2006 F-150 with the 4.6 Triton only gets 17 mpg on the highway. My old GMC with the 4.3 gets 22 mpg highway and 17 around town. The boaters are crying now. Their gas is $3.50/gal and up around here.

You will need to extract the ShellIconCache from your XP CD. Try running sfc /scannow from the Run box first. Have the CD ready.

I wnet an got a few groceries this morning at my favorite store. Luckily it is one having the promotion for .10/gallon off at the local Sunoco station ($2.99/87 octane) for every $50 spent at the store. I can bank the savings for 2 months. It is only good for one fillup not to exceed 20 gallons. Right now I am good for .30/gallon off. I'll wait until i can get upto .70/gallon and get down to a 1/3 tank. I need to burn off this winter gas anyhow. I haven't allowed the GMC to get under 3/4 tank all winter.

I think I have found the solution to the possum problem. I opened the cellar windows and outside door to let things air out before I went down and removed that noxious animal. I had to go and let my dog out and as I was doing so I noticed a bunch of stray cats come flying out of the cellar door when my dog went to check out the odor. I think I'll let the cats consume the possum.

My step-father has been complaining that he can smell something bad. He always blames my dog. I know the aroma from the dog piles can get a bit strong when the weather is warm and the breeze blows in the right direction. I decided to do some work in his place while he is gone to camp. I could smell something strange in his bathroom, but it couldn't be from the dog's area of relief. I opened the cellar door and proceeded down the stairs to get some 1/2" pipe fittings and a nasty odor hit me. My first thought was a sewer backup. As I walked to the back part of the cellar where the sewer connecti

Well one Ford won't be using as much gas now. My landscape business partner called me after dinner to say the '92 Ford F-150 4WD was dripping fuel from underneath. I went over to his place and crawled under the truck. The back tank was leaking fuel from the tank bracket area. I pulled the tank to look it over and found deep rust in a few areas. I lucked out and found a new tank local and installed it last night. The truck is going to the scrap yard after this season. Time to hit the auction. I need a GMC or Ford 4WD with or without plow and another GMC 2WD both with extended cabs.

Work season is upon me. During this time of the year I will go through about 1/2-3/4 tank (16-24 gallons) with my GMC a week. The 2 Fords suck up much more than that. During the winter I can get by using about 1/4 tank a month with my old GMC. Due to the higher fuel prices my materials have gone up. I must now pass that expense onto the customer. I will also concentrate on bidding local jobs only even though I can charge more in the Syracuse suburbs.

Can Not Get Xp Home To Boot Up
TheTerrorist_75 replied to tman70's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
You will need to install the 40GB HDD as Master to run the fix. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_haldll_missing.htm -
The smell of fresh cut grass, ahhh! It was time to trim the lawn. After the rain the south side grew quick. My legs are tingling from that first mow job of the season. I never could stand those self-propelled mowers or riders. I prefer the workout.

Upcoming Critical Product Support Transitions
TheTerrorist_75 replied to JSKY's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Oh noes! I only have 2 years of mainstream support for XP and Office 2000. By that time I will need to build a new computer anyhow and hopefully the bugs are worked out of Vista or a more functional OS is released. -
I doubt you would be able to set it up for Vista. http://linuxbios.org/Welcome_to_LinuxBIOS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linuxbios

I believe Everest and SIW both will recognize the chipset before driver installation. Of course Windows will need to be loaded or in SIW's case use UBCD with SIW integrated.
-
Between Everest, SIW and WinAudit I can get detailed information for pretty much any system. Both SIW and WinAudit are standalone programs that can be run from a USB or floppy drive.

Try installling the 40GB as Master and the 30GB as Slave. The MBR may be setup for both drives installed. -
The crazy person across the street has scalped his lawn twice already. My lawn hasn't even grown to three inches yet. Every year the neighbors end up with brown dust bowls for lawns because they cut them down to about a 1/2". I believe in maintaining a 3 1/2" lawn.
