hey guys, I'm not sure if this is a new problem or one that existed since I installed MDK 10.1 because I only recently started using k3b alot to back up some big files. The problem is, using k3b, I burn a data cd, then try to burn another and it errors out because the drive is still mounted from the last burn...Even ejecting the cd and putting a new one in and viewing files on it doesn't seem to work. I tried umounting the drive manually and get: [root@Taylor1 tictoc5150]# umount /dev/hdc umount: /mnt/cdrom: device is busy umount: /mnt/cdrom: device is busy this happens every time I burn a cd

I think that'll probably be true but it's fun hearing what y'all come up with....who knows, I might find one that I really like too. I'm leaning towards "Holly Ann" right now, that'll probably change a million times by July though Nerelda, if she comes out looking like a drow, then I'll consider it then again, I'll probably not be naming her at all since neither the mom or myself have any drow in us, at least I don't think so

Thanks for taking an interest dk We're "pretty sure" it's a girl...I'm hoping too If it's a boy I think I can force my first choice on Mommy for that because she kinda liked it..."Jacob Thomas" But for girls names I've come up with, Jessica (the one Mom doesn't like), Amanda, Holly, Tracey and Megan...the middle name is non-negotiable and thats Ann for my Mom. Agree on one of my names or come up with one of your own, I'm happy with any input And as always, the Baby Page is in my sig for anyone interested.

Hey all, I've got a friend that has an intermittent startup problem...meaning, sometimes the PC starts, sometimes it doesn't...I asked if he gets the POST beep and he says it acts like he didn't even hit the on button...my question I guess is, do power supplies go bad gradually, sometimes not working then back to working again?...or should I be looking at the power switch as a possible culprit too?....anything else I should check? I'll be testing the PS when he delivers it to me but if it checks out fine with all voltages correct or if I can't duplicate the problem, give it back and the proble

have you tried Gateway's site for their sound drivers? the first link when googling "gateway 2000 sound drivers", indicates an incompatability with windows sound system...gateway drivers might be your answer. good luck

Hey Guys, finishing up a cleanup job and looking for a quick once over on the log. updated scans with adaware, spybot, and avg all come back clean after removing 3 trojans, 2 virus and about 200+ spyware related items but 2 things still look suspicious to me and I can't find anything googling, was wondering if any of you might know what they are-->>O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [r3sk37W] msyrenv.exe and O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [a03qRXapi] msuscfg.exe thanks in advance, T. A) I'd have to say, my notebook...it's nothin' special...just a lower end Toshiba Satellite but has become my portable entertainment system. Q) how many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?...lol

A) Neither, I prefer to hibernate and not break bones...lol Q) How much hard drive space do you have?

Marty, this is incorrect. tg1911 said: You left HJT in a temp folder and it's very important that you put it in a permanent folder for the reasons tg1911 stated...and also to post the log in the HJT section of the boards, HERE. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just pointing out the things that'll get you helped in a more timely manner good luck, T.

jeesh B, when I asked you about the favicon thing, I didn't mean just throw up any old icon...lol like Barb, I can't make out what it's suppose to be...unless it's suppose to be a crumpled up ball of something...lol even the one I made for my FF toolbar would've been better....lol (which you can have if you want it) -->> favicon link If the creator of the icon isn't you, sorry if I offend If it is you, DO BETTER!!!! EDIT: heh, sorry Crow, didn't mean to bash your handywork I know mine isn't a masterpiece, it was just something I whipped up to keep the FF toolbar looking uniform

Since switching to linux, I haven't had that much time to really get the hang of using GIMP until just recently...just dabbling with it here and there was kinda aggravating since I know how to do so much with Photoshop (with ease, I might add) but realized I have to basically learn how to use it all over again just like PS....I was surprised at the results that I could get just messing around with GIMP and a couple of the tutorials at the GIMP user group site. please add any sites you happen to find. see what I mean?...pretty cool for just screwin' around, I think.
