  1. and boredom strikes again...well, not really, I do like making em' too
  2. I like it however, maybe it is just me my eyes are getting bad in my old age ,but it seems a little fuzzy. Michael kinda wonder if making these on my laptop makes a difference, everything looks pretty crisp to me on an LCD. switched over to my desktop (average 17" CRT) for this one.
  3. Thanks guys!!!! and what the heck...why not another? Nerelda, gonna have to get back to you on the font...failing memory and I didn't save the pic as a .psd...lol and njustice, thanks for the constructive critique, I agree the fonts are a little mismatched, kinda rushed that one, as soon as I can remember what the damn font was I might take another crack at it. thanks again all edit: man, wayyyy too many fonts...lol...found it though, it's Vivaldi but stretched out a little...pretty sure it's standard in XP, maybe not though ok, here's the "another crack at it"...must say I'm not as satis
  4. thanks guys (or gals ) and Nerelda, I agree with you about the text...kinda tough work getting cool effects to show on small fonts. a more simplistic approach this time.

  8. "iwconfig: command not found" "ifconfig: command not found" yeah....I'd say they turned up something interesting...lOL Thank you for the help you are providing me with it. I truly appreciate it. jcl knows waaaaaayyyyy more than I do but for iwconfig I have to be in root so go: $su password: then #iwconfig and #ifconfig and just a mention...I never was able to get my ma101 working with mandrake 10.0 and did have to patch with a firmware update to get a wg511 working on my laptop...so, I'll agree with jcl...a MAJOR PITA...very rewarding and satisfying when you do manage to get things to work t
  9. if possible considering it's a new install, I'd go with reinstalling windows to get your partition size the way you'd want it....XP can be a bit of a pig and will keep growing, system restore files can take up 12% of your drive by default, doesn't seem like much but can max out a small drive/partition pretty quick. but if you wanna do it the way you mentioned, get TweakUI once intalled, you can change locations by: >expand "my computer">special folders, right pane gives you a drop down of all the system folders that can be changed.
  10. hey Earnoldo, been lurking the boards for a little while now, decided my first post should be a thanks for the great links...not that FF was slow but tried em' anyways and it made a very noticable difference. once again, thanks for the links T. edit: Oh, and B, nice boards...seeing quite a few familiar names...... although it isn't as high traffic as the "other" boards, I've gotten some really good info here....kudos
