40Ks??? I worked for the largest gold mine in the northern hemisphere for 20 years and just started getting close to that when they closed it down in 98. Now after a couple of different jobs, I found one that pays a little over half of what I made there. Only thing going for me where I live is the cost of living. Surprisingly I make good wages here. And I know that teachers aren't getting close to what I make now.

My new screen-name doesn't have alot as of yet. (only changed it a little over a year and a half ago) But when I type my old one I used to use back before changing it to jsky. I do understand what you are both saying. But it does work....... Now I'm not saying one is right or the other one is wrong or lying to everyone. But I have tried the tweek at 3, 5 and 7. And the higher the number. the quicker everything does boot from the push of the start button. And it is a noticeable difference. Just like all the hidden options that are in "Disk cleanup".(and I do believe there are many things that are (and many other options or parameters) hidden from us). Just type you screen-name into google, yahoo, lycos, dogpile or any I might have missed and you will be supprised on what, where, when you've been. If you go back into the pages far enough, you will even find links to the old TTV. (tho they redirect you to G$. Anybody can use your screen-name and do a search on it. Use this setting. "In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the ones already displayed. If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included". When the tech comes out. does he have problems connecting? or does he even try. Have you tried different cables from the wall outlet (cable line) to your modem/router/pc?

Sometimes this will help. Turn off your system. Unplug your modem from the 110 wall outlet for about 2 min. This will allow the cache to empty itself out. then turn everything back on.

Wow!! I really don't remember which one it was. I was going through so many ones. But the screensaver is "galactic explorer" Takes you on a trip to different galaxys. I wandered about the site tho when I stopped on it. Kinda hit me as a chancy site. But it is a smaller site with just a few screensavers listed on it. Showed up somewhere on like page 15 or so on a goggle search. But it wasn't a main site.

CurlingSteve, I found it here. tweeksrus forums And I tried it myself before I posted it here. (both on my test, then main machine). It seems to work really well. And you can supposseably be able to change it up to 9. The higher the number, the faster. But I wouldn't push it past 6. Look for prefetch tweeks under tweeks I have used other tweeks that they have listed. I have lurked there for some time, and they seem to know what they are talking about. So I myself trust them. And I fully try anything out before posting it anyware martymas. Yes you can set it back to 3 if you want to.

Carefully out there. I was snooping around a came across a neat screen saver I just had to have. (I know, I know). Anyway, it was a loaded gun with a hair trigger. Infected myself with abetterinternet/nail.exe Damn!!! took me all night to get it off my system. (one of those that renames itself) All the normal channels didn't work, every time you would reboot....THEIR IT WAS!!!! To get rid of it.
