  1. Well, I have MS on Auto update (I know, I know....but I need auto update or it won't get done ) and that bugger is a sneaky thing! Went to shut down the idiot box last night and the shut down button had the little shield on it and had "click here if you want to shut down without installing updates" I cancelled it, looked in my Task Bar, no little yellow icon, no bubble naggie note, nothing to suggest there was even an update downloaded! Being pooped, I chose to shut down without installing the update (midnight computer problems and me do not mix) Well, this afternoon when I turned the idiot
  2. Oh, I roared with laughter on that one! Sending that on, thanks, Mychal Liz
  3. Those are awesome, Bubbabob! I love the fourth from the left on the top row! Liz
  4. Wow! What a project, Matt. I'm an allergy sufferer myself (molds and "random scents" like Bounce Dryer Sheets) and passed that on to Daughter, BUT she is allergic to Spring Pollen (only when spring flowers are blooming) and oranges. Always wondered why I passed the allergies on to her, but why is she allergic to different things!! After reading your post, I wonder if the reaction in air-borne/breathed in allergies (like pollen) and "ingested" allergies (ie: peanuts, oranges, strawberries, even bees, seeing as it's "injected into the body" vs. inhaled) has something to do with the type of rea

  9. Oooh, neat! Showed it to Son (Buckwheat) who said, "it looks like something out of Power Rangers!"....and he was impressed Liz
  10. Oh, but he covered the caller ID, Hondaboy! "When Caller ID came to our area, I thought my therapeutic 'asshole' calling would have to stop. So, I called his number and said, "Hi, this is John Smith from the telephone company. I'm calling to see if you're familiar with our Caller ID Program?" He yelled "NO!" and slammed down the phone. I quickly called him back and said, "That's because you're an asshole!" " Too clever! Liz
  11. We love you, too, Macmarauder! I also haven't been running amuck as much as I'd like to, but April is almost over and I'll be back. We'll need you here, Robroy's going to need help keeping me out of trouble (I know, I know, it takes a village). You take care my dear, you stay strong and pop in, even if it's just to read! Liz

    Turkey Breast

A couple standards in my family Turkey (or chicken) and Biscuits Turkey, a little water, onions, lots of celery, saute till the celery turns brighter green and the onions turn sorta transparent *now, this is assuming precooked poultry, if using raw, stir fry the meat first* Add frozen green beans, carrots and water to cover, black pepper and chicken bouillion (just taste it, I don't measure bouillion!) and simmer till the carrots are done Put a good handful of flour in a cup and add water till it's the consistency of pancake batter, and pour into the pot, while stirring, enough to thicken the
  14. Could it maybe be this, Marty? how stuff works Couldn't find any reference to the author, but that website sounds like what you're talking about. Looks good, I'm going to poke around in it Liz
  15. Happy Birthday Murtu and LineOFire! Hope you both have a wonderful day! Liz and Chappy
  16. The Walmart in Muskegon has a gas station---one problem. It only takes debit or credit cards, so the cash or check writing customer is out of luck. And, they're only a couple cents lower (but it works--can't figure out why folks wait in line for 20 minutes to save a total of about 10 cents....don't they know they'll burn that much gas waiting in line??) Liz
  17. I've read so many times about people buying computers from "legitimate computer stores" and having pirated software, so this sounds good for them. Nothing worse than buying something and then having to dump more money for a "real" operating system. Just hope that it doesn't give "false pirated copy notices" to folks with genuine copies. This IS Microsoft, after all Liz
  18. A full moon or a crack joke is needed right now..... Soooo that's why my mitered corners never turn out?? I'll stick with fixing them with my Dremel (too cold in Michigan!) Love it, Marty! thanks Liz
  19. Isteve, MSN search is the only one Son uses and he "says" its better than Google Liz

    Blizzard Of 06

Oh, yeah, Jsky, I know all about Blue Snow. Pretty, isnt it? Especially when you know the blue means it's melting! Showed the blizzard pictures to Daughter who said, "I am SO not ever living in South Dakota!" Until I told her it was in the high 70's today. Liz
  24. Whoa, thanks, Terrorist! Borox certainly sounds a lot better than a harsh chemical herbicide. Living across the street from an elementary school and having Sandydog, it sounds a LOT safer. Borax is supposed to be a good ant repellent, too, never knew it's weedkilling power (and we rarely have ants, *knock wood* so I never used it). I just can't figure out why it's all over this year--always had one "problem spot" in a corner of the backyard. Probably threw some in the compost pile and impatient me, didn't let the compost "finish". Or "it was just a good year for creeping charlie". I'll h
  25. Awww, Barb! I went to bleeping computer and the site came up fine. Gosh, I hate it when bad things happen to such good people. Hope it's an easy fix. You experts take real good care of her, ok?? Liz
