Good grief, Macmarauder, just reading your post makes me pooped! One nice thing about "High School Drama" at your age, is that you have the wisdom of a few years! Pat, reading your post about Hubby and the lawn mower---exactly why I have strategically placed tomato cages. Not just for tomatoes!! And once they get rusty, the leaves even camoflauge them Of course, explaining to Hubby that I leave my cages up all winter so they'll rust makes his brow wrinkle. Method to the madness, right? Going to be a busy week so I might be only lurking and reading. The "nut" gets sprung from the Big

World Cup!! When we went to Denmark a few years ago, World Cup was going on, and everyone was glued to the Games, hollering at the television. (AND the word "Hooligan" does NOT translate to a Danish word, the Danish Sportscasters just said "hooligan") Son is a Soccerhead and will be watching! Me? Bah, if you're picking Brazil, I'll pick Brazil Liz

Welcome back, Jsky! 47 Updates?!?? Oy vey. OK, just because if I ever have to reinstall everything, (Heaven Forbid!) did you download and install all of them at once? Hmmm, some time off...wanna come over? I have windows to wash now that pollenseason is winding up, a kitchen to paint, and a Dining Room ceiling to replace (major ughhhh, the DR is "command central") Sure glad everything went well for you! Liz

OK, I'm going against the grain here....this program doesn't sound too bad, actually. When Daughter is on the computer, she aimlessly clicks stuff without reading what she's clicking (I could wring her neck!) and her 4 month old computer needs a HijackThis analysis done, because it's BSOD'ing so "who-knows-what" is on it now. I try and try to educate her, but it does no good! Is this program available for individual computers? I clicked the "buy now" link on the website that Nerelda provided, but couldn't make heads or tails out of it. I figure if I can convince Daughter to save her Word d

That's it...my next computer is definitely going to be an Apple! Those durned Indian Accents are too hard to understand! Thanks, Sultan Liz

"God made man before woman so as to give him time to think of an answer for her first question." Uh, huh, yep! But question or complaint? And I am stringent about putting my glasses in the same place every single time I take them off! Good ones, Marty, thanks Liz

Reading Marty's post.....Ohmygoshagain! Give me a spider or even a ratbug (well, maybe, I'm afraid of rats, too) anyday. Snakes just give me the creeps! Liz

Computer, Science and MATH jokes?!? *slaps forehead* There is something remotely funny about MATH?? Oy Vey....all my very worst subjects...(now if you find some Art History jokesites....) BUT sending that link to Techy Nephew, ScienceGeek Son and a Mathwhiz friend. They'll understand them Thanks, Sultan! Liz edit *read a few* Whooosh, what was that noise? Yep, something going right over my head Paul, Benjamin and Aron will LOVE them, though!

My Dad LOVES to play with telemarketer's heads--in fact they haven't signed up for the Do not Call list. My Mom says it keeps him occupied and out of her hair Ahhh, I'll have to print that out for him Thanks (uh, I think....?) Liz
-
Ah, yes, there is a reason why it's also called, "ta kill ya". Glad I don't like it Liz

Happy Birthday, Vile! Quit working so hard, we miss you and have a wonderful day Liz

So your wood hiacynths have been "kicking rear" this year, too, Bozodog? Mine have gone nutty. And I thought my neighbor and I were the only ones who even heard of Snow on The Mountain! No one else around here has it! My neighbor planted them years and years ago and the seeds blew through the fence to my yard. Those buggers are tricky to transplant, though--I've given so many away and they don't "take"--like Colombine, I've learned to let the grow where they want to I was lucky with the hostas--Son's Girlfriend's Mom took a bunch from me. She hinted that she may need more next spring be

Hugs and chocolate all around! (extra hugs for Macmarauder and extra chocolate for Bozodog and Pat--chocolate's a girl thing ) Still playing in the garden. Bah, I ran out of manure today. Need to make a trip back to Sister's house for more. She gives me s**t and I gladly accept it, I even bring my own shovel! Pat, how's your clematis doing? Mine survived the winter--probably won't bloom....again! Methinks I need to move it to a sunnier spot. I'm just glad it's green. I rescued a "Dead Rhodie" from the city compost pile last week (why would someone dump a Rhododendron??) put it in

Ooooh, stick with what you have! I've read that Triton is buggy--likes to crash idiot boxes. In fact, I need to submit a hijack log for Daughter's computer, BUT I suspect Triton is a culprit! Liz

Ohmygosh! Liz

Wow!.....and it's really pretty, too. Thanks, Pat, I've never seen it up here, but now I know what to look for! Liz

I know you have a legit copy of windows, Jim. What I meant was that perhaps that update "catches" non SP2 machines, as well. And if folks have had success with MS clearing up false readings of their legit Windows by calling MS, maybe you could explain to MS that SP2 is impossible for you and they might be able to give you a code to erase that star? And I'm with you, as long as SP1 is acting fine for you, why hassle with SP2--I know you've had a nightmare installing that critter! Liz
-
I've also been reading a lot of users with legit copies of Windows getting the "your copy isn't legal" notices--I'm assuming if you don't have SP2, the same update nags you for that?? Anyways, the solution that made the most sense was to call MS, explain the situation, be polite and "supposably" they'll give you codes to get the "nagulator" off the machine. Liz

Such a strange cat. I must challenge. Damn dog, you stink! You nailed it, Terrorist! Sandydog got sprayed 5 years ago--chases every cat EXCEPT black and white ones--those she either ignores or hides from....I'm not about to tell her those are harmless kitties, nuh-uh Liz
-
Son's girlfriend's cat adopted him and we have a dog--had him read this and he's still laughing ten minutes later (me too)! Copy, paste, email and thanks, Joe and Terrorist! *we need one about dog and skunk, dog and car rides, dog and bath* Liz

LOL, ShadowThomas! Gotta say a plastic bag with eyes would have scared me, too Liz
