Pierce, you know they are already testing "BB over the power lines" in the UK. Won't be long and you'll have all the speed you need, everywhere.
  2. Oohh Jeesch, I have always wanted to help in that way. I'm an organ donor too. But I'm afraid this ole liver is too many years pickled with beers.. But I have passed it along... And at least a few prayers will be sent out.
  3. More bombs in London. Will our UK friends please check in? Coffee and rolls being served........ (and I'd like to serve up some rat poison for the brainwashed radicals that think this is doing their cause any good)
  4. Ok, so it's happened again. Several more bombs in London. Here's hoping all our UK friends are ok. And may the b4st4rds burn in h#ll!
  5. Bleh! If I don't get 6 or 7 I'm useless... Sometimes I wake at nite and can't get back to sleep.. Ruins my whole next day. For those of you over 40 try Melatonin.. It's a great sleep aid I found when I had to get to sleep at 7PM while it was still light out. LINKY
  6. Blim and I will hold your hand, Mac.. It's ok, don't be scared... Blim you're right, the water was very warm, even though the surf was up and breaking. I spend about half of Tuesday in the water..
  7. That's what I thought. Or rocks and mud getting in the spokes? Looks like a great idea anyway.
  8. Yep, that's it. And all the taste testers hang out... Mmmmm
  9. WhoHoo! warm water. Don't think so now... had a line of storms roll through, that always stirs things up to ~COLD~ Don't matter, outta here in about 30 mins.. (Brit had to work today) Can't ever eat or drink too much out there.. heh heh The deck is where I usually take all my sunset pics from, or the lower deck on a dune.
  10. Ok, so now I'm gonna brag. I am an American, and I am proud of the 2nd admendment. I own: SKS assult rifle Remington 870 12 guage Marine Magnum S&W 686 357 Mag. Walther PPKS 380 cal. Ram-Line 22 cal. semi auto pistol and a two shot derrenger, 38 special. I'm quite a good shot, and love to blow up watermelons like the guy on "Mail Call" God Bless America!
  11. Blim, I have a "download" folder. When I do a D/L I choose *save to disk* option and put all of them in that folder. Then I go to there and install from there. I have lots of old versions of software. (this folder BTW is one I back up on CD and my second HDD, in case of HDD failure.) Along with my documents and pictures.
  12. If my body was a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull, but that's not the worst of it. My fenders are too wide to be considered stylish. They were once as sleek as a little MG; now they look more like my mother's old Buick. My seat cushions have split open at the seams. My seats are sagging. Seat belts? I gave up all belts when Ben & Jerry's opened a shop in my neighborhood. Air bags? Forget it. The only bags I have these days are under my eyes. Not coun
  13. Well, there's fat, healthy, and scarecrow. It is sad to see so many women obsessed with the pencil thin weight. But then again the obesity in America is out of hand. I feel bad for the chunky kids that will struggle to keep down to a healthy weight in later life. I see too many families, mom, dad, 2-3 kids... all far overweight. I had 60 pounds sneak up on me, starting with 30 I gained the summer I had a broken shoulder. 3 years ago I made up my mind to get it off. It's been a struggle. 10 pounds the first year, nothing the second, 45 in 9 months with my job at DHL, then my broken wrist has p
  14. Blim this is the house on the dunes. Only one bad thing about it. It's 49 steps up from the beach to the bathroom. And this is the view north towards So. Haven.
  15. Rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant,rant, rant,rant,rant,RANT!
  16. I thought that meant no rules? Err, subject. Ahh, topic. Umm, cool kids meet here.
  17. Yeah, it is a lot of tax. Seeing as they pump their own crude from the north sea. It's supposed to be for the motorways, but very much like here most gets diverted and their roads suck. Almost no modernizing or upgrades are being made. And when they get into major maintenence, it takes forever, and detours are difficult. Remember, most of their main routes were built by the Romans.
  18. Unfortunatly, they stopped having our air-shows here. It all died out when the likes of the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds demanded to have the Interstate I-94 closed down for their shows. Even the Battle Creek balloon fest has stopped. But Blim, in case you don't know it, we have the worlds greatest air museum. Kalamazoo AirZoo This place is so kewl, the planes are perfect, and the new section is beyond belief.
  19. My Florida friend was born and bred in Kalamazoo, graduated WMU w/degree in social work. Her folks own the beach house, mom(Lyn) is a retired Librarian from S. Africa, dad, (Alan) is a retired archecologist professor. I met Joanna first and became good friends with her folks as I am right inbetween them all in age.
  20. Blim, I really don't care how the weather is.. It's always great to be out there. Monday Partial cloudiness early, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. A few storms may be severe. High 88F. Winds WSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50%. (no sunset) Monday night: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly early. Low 68F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%. Tuesday Sunny. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 60s. (perfect!) Anyways.. at least I won't be in town or working. That's the kewl part.
  21. I'm driving the "pup" now, still have ole Blu, then there was Ruby, my motorhome was Madaline, and before that, "the UglyBus" I love how these machines name themselves.
  22. Don't we all darlin'? echo, I'm kinda a tree hugger too. But I'm not buying into the "radicals" outlook on it all. All the "emission controls" have done nothing but raise the price of our cars, maintainence, taxes, and fuel. I can't believe anything has really been done to clean up. For instance, one of the major reasons our gas is going up is not so much the price of crude, but the lack of refinery facillities. There has not been any building of them since the emissions have been reduced and taxed. We need the extra capicity and it's too expensive to build it. The old ones are grandfathered
