  1. Ermmm, maybe you should use "pony kegs" That one blew a 10 foot crater in my yard. Oohh, rv56, look out for your drive! You're gonna need repaving..
  2. Blim, I have the same TV package as you. But it's only $89 a month for the 3meg. They pulled a fast one when they introduced the 3meg. I had 1meg before that and was very pleased with the speed. Suddenly they are advertizing 3meg all over. Dang, I didn't need it, I was happy with 1. All of a sudden I'm falling asleep waiting for d/l's. (?) Seems the b4st4rds dropped the 1meg service to 385k! SO i'm paying the same for 66% less and could not even get the "new customer" discount for the upgrade. (we really had to upgrade with both of us on-line all the time. The Brit maintains our two websites,
  3. Rib fest in downtown Kalamazoo next week. It's a convention of champion BBQers from all over the country. They set up those giant grills and display all their trophys. Mmmmm, and does it smell great! Mouth is watering.
  4. $2.21 today. I need a squirter nozzle for the back washer on my GMC van. All it does now is squirt the car behind me's windshield. ?
  5. I sold a house full of carpet to folks who had pulled up to their house shortly after the tornado passed. They were happy to see just some siding ripped off and the living room window blown out. They did lose a 150 year old barn but the "nice" tornado left all the hay bales! But, wait! Inside their intact house was a 3 inch coating of pig manure on all the walls, floors, and ceilings. They had to use snowshovels to scrape the crap off. The closest hog farm was 15 miles away. Ewwwwww!
  6. WELCOME BACK! I missed you around. Sowwy bout that camera. (what happened?) WhoHooo! NASCAR at Louden.... I wanna.
  7. jeesh, we pay $43 a month and get the 3meg... that's the tops! But then again I really like going fast.
  8. Ya missed Mac, shoot again.....
  9. ground, earth... same diff... I think the UK with it's 220 system is more at risk because they run a heavy wire to carry that current. It is cheaper and more efficent to run 3-phase 220. I don't know if they have/use GFI's like we are coded for... But no matter, if lightening strikes nearby, only an unplugged system will survive. I still feel the worst thing for your system is hard crashes caused by an interruption of the power. A UPS at that point is the safety hardware. A smart UPS that will shut off your machine correctly is the answer, in case you are not around before it's battery runs
  10. *gets up and walks around a bit... Blim, what cable system are you on? I have Charter here... two choices, 385 or 3 meg.
  11. Getting Even With The Stray Cat One hot July day we found an old straggly cat at our door. She was a sorry sight. Starving, dirty, smelled terrible, skinny and hair all matted down. We felt sorry for her, put her in a carrier and took her to the vet. We didn't know what to call her, so we named her "Pussycat." The vet decided to keep her for a day or so. He said would let us know when we could come and get her. My husband (the complainer) said, "OK, but don't forget to wash her, she stinks." He reminded the vet that it was his WIFE that wanted the dirty cat, NOT him. My husband and my Vet don'

  14. Oh, AOheLL. Dunno, I had two choices when I bought my machine, AOL and Earthlink. Followed the advice of friends and went with earthlink. It's almost as bad. Too dang expensive, difficult to cancel, and hides in all the dusty corners of Windows.. Took me forever to find all of it.
  15. How about rip-off? I'm telling you this better be good. *AND* complete, meaning without SP's forever........
  16. Hmmmm, that was one for a mass e-mail. Blim! love that sig! Nice job handplane.
  17. Well, when I added a fan to my GFX card, this ole Dell only had one MB socket for the case/CPU fan. So my sweet Brit just removed the wires from the new fans end, (retaining the crimpted on metal thingy's) and plugged it into the backside of the other fans plug. Kinda piggy backing it on. But wait! Then I decided I wanted a "real" CPU fan. And get rid of the shroud that Dell used to draw air over the CPU, keeping the case part of it's function. So he then did the same thing, just unplugged the wires from the plug and plugged them into one of the power supply 4 hole plugs. Piggy backing it ag
