it's possible that will solve the issues, but I'm thinking more then likely not, its hard to tell without knowing what viruses, trojans and keylogger were removed. Either way you still have some remenants left over from your infections. You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure. Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible. Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, onl

I like it, however if he does do it then it needs to be a subforum of Pc tips and tricks not its own section.

yeah, it was originally posted at kerio forums on September 2nd, but no one posted here about it. so once I found out about it I posted it here so people here knew about it. Not everyone goes to every forum board like you, me Jeff and some others here. This way those that don't go to other boards, like members that come here for help only, get the message.

I do believe this might have gotten missed in my previous statement. yes bd your right we are a selfish, selfcentered nation. which is why i said what I said above.oh and the Gov does control some aspect of the prices we pay on fuel, hence the taxation, and the congressional bans on where we can drill for oil as well as where we can build refinaries. uber-enviromentalists unite, you have successfully crippled our nations ability to properly survive. because of their, the enviromentalist groupd, lobbying of congress and making large contributions to certain congressmembers they are succeeding.

I honestly don't think so, microsoft firewall only protects agains inboudn threats, if they already are infected before SP2 made that a mandatory operation, it can still try to infect others. Plust not everyone uses win 2000/xp There are still a lot of die hard fans of 9x/me out there.

first, to make it blend easier, on each transparncy section between your text, make it a white forground/background so it washes out the previous wording. Second to make the Picture stay in put the picture on every layer so its never changes. including the last layer. then show me what it looks like.

one of the things you want to look at is how old the computer is, computers are like cars they lose value as they get older. How old is this computer?

so wha tyou are saying, and please correct me if I am wrong, is that its oke for these oil companies/cartels to make over 28 billion dollars a day. I find it hard to believe that research, refining, etc.. costs that much a day to do. there is so much money in this deal, there is no reason that they can't make a few more refineries. congress needs to get off their a$$es and tell the bleeding heart "tree huggers" that we are opening such and such area for a refinary, and we will be drilling at such and such an oil field. The least these companies could do is spend that money on making more refi

I stated this fact in my original post. just because the storage facility has a company name on it doesn't mean they only cater to that one type of gas station. I know for a fact that all the gas stations in a 100 mile radius get there gas from the AMOCO fuel storage facility down in Des Moines. not just amoco. btw Amoco was purchased by British Petroleum (BP) around 3 - 4 years ago. The break from being an exclusive monopoly is because of the different names. (i.e. Shell, Exxon, Mobil, BP, etc...) but the big picture is that their gas comes from the same refineries, and the same fuel storag
-
you got it Greed is the biggest evil in the marketable world, everyone wants more Oh and I forgot, they are a monopoly for the most part. there really is no competition to speak of as of yet.
-
they will take a loss if they do at all, remember that gas you got at the station 2 days ago, was purchased at a different price then any they got delivered today. so lets look at this way you have 3 30,000 gallon tanks under your pumps. you filled them 3 days ago at $2.64 a gallon, now today you get another delivery but it cost more say $2.74 a gallon, your prices jump 10 cents, now your making 13 cents a gallon on what ever gas was in your tanks before you got your tanks topped off today. so basic math. you have say 15000 gallons left in one tank, 9000 in tank 2, 13000 in tank 3 all bought a

neither have I, but the figures I got were from a national poll started by the FTC.

Ive heard that. One thing i dont get though, every now and then ill see on the news how two gas startions are in a "price war" with each other. THe prices sometimes drop as mch as 10-15 cents. HOW? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> they can survive the gas wars based on the other items they sell in the station. whether its by a repair shop, food, oil, etc... the real money for a convenience store isn't in the gas sales its in everything else they sell. Think about, how many times have you gone to the local convenience store for somthing you needed at home but didn't go to a grocery store or discou
-
most, not all, but most states allow the vendor to make 3 cents per gallon of gas sold. I used to be a station manager, so I know that is accurate. I have also talked to station owners in other states just to find out, and all of them say they make anywhere from 1 to 3 cents per gallon of gas sold

taxes cannot be used in this situation since there is no standard tax across the nation on Gas prices. the prices stated are all pre-tax amounts. as for your eloquent basis of the "Mr. Burns" theory you might be more surprised at that then you think, especially when you deal with the oil cartels. here is a description of One house. now you tell me, whoi's rolling around in the dough??? But the point I'm making, and I am getting tired of hearing how taxes are what causes it all, is that the taxation does not have as big of an influence on our prices at the pump as most think. The average tax o

You guys remember the 4-6-8 engine back in the 80's? It was a disaster then, but with todays technology they might be able to make it work. Think about it, take the parts for an aluminum small block and make them in a V twin configuration 2 cylinder pairs, then just stack them up to the required horsepower. Using modern fuel injection and good clutching you would be able to get a hybrid effect without the weight. Cyl pairs you didn't need just shut off, disengage, and freewheel to a stop. BH <{POST_SNAPBACK}> first post here, and yes I know the quote above is old, if you will

after doing this for 2 years, I can attest that this problem is not directly related to Spybot or its programming. From what I am seeing in your discriptions it sounds a lot like its actually a BIOS issue. You might want to check and see if the BIOS was recently flashed, providing this MOBO is able to have that done. If it can't then there is a possibility that the BIOS chip is dying, or even the battery. those are just some places I would look into. I can also point out that your HJT log is clean, so its definately not software related.

definately Ubuntu, just make sure that if you have to download the driver for the modem, that you download and install the headers so it can install properly. you can get he headers from synaptic.

one thing you can do to transfer your files is make a bakcup of them all and then just copy them over, if you are serious about going full time on the linux OS. there is a Linux version of Winamp, albeit a little old in version. ZA won't work on Linux last I knew, however if you install Firestarter you will get just as good if not better protection then ZA. and as for gaming on Linux, not all your games will work on linux even if you used WINE or Cedega (which is non-free). You may want to google to make sure your games and any other programs you want on Linux from Windows will be compatible,

yeah I'll listen, and if you need another voice let me know, I got a mic too, just give me enough time to boot to windows, not sure if I have everything set up properly for Linux lol. Still working a few bugs out.
