  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! *insert joke about your birthday suit here*
  6. The word is in. Windows Vista (previously Longhorn) is the next version of windows. What kinda name is that?
  7. According to the stats Jeff (Besttechie in the forums) gave us from webalizer/AWStats: The first pilot with only Jeff: 36 Downloads The skype pilot with Jeff and Matt: 15 downloads Now remember, this was only advertised in IRC and the Forums... We haven't even pingged the podcasting services yet... With only 4k podcasts known, we could get a nice litte audience
  8. w00t! Jeff and Matt hooked up earler today and we got our first pilot with skype! http://podcast.besttechie.net/
  9. Jeff and friends have been buying and setting up mics. We've been getting skype setup and calling eachother. I still have a week to get my mic, but it's on the way. Jeff is hoping to do another show tonight (I think were still calling it a pilot) after he figures out skype a little more. Wish us luck!
  10. We know jeff is on it. Matt might be, and Ill be on a few shows when I get a mic. The sad part is, we're all d*mn kids! This podcast will probebly be similar to what a LiveJournal audio blog would sound like! Im kidding... I hope...
  11. The first piece of code works, just put your 'ralph' where your talk is.... like so class Critter(object): def __init__(self): print "I am born" def talk(self, name): self.test = name print self.test crit = Critter() crit.talk('ralph')
  12. Your link shows two DellĀ© PCs, one with FreeDOS the other with Red Hat. I see no problem, until you click the little "?". That contains the standard "DellĀ©" answer. Don't fret that they recommend XP, then sell you linux. Linux is soo different from Windows it's impossible to support. Red Hat only supports if you use only Red Hat approved stuff because Linux is so changable. Windows is the same everytime, linux can be ANY arrangement of packages with a linux kernel. So that's one reason support is scarce, and no one will sell a PC w/o support. At least, to normal people.
  13. UBUNTU! It's debian but for normal people... http://ubuntu.org/ Try it! NOTE: I'm a slackware user, so it's oblig that i recommend you try slack some time too Anyone using linux usually does the "distro shuffle" at some point.
