What Do You Guys Think Of This?
Besttechie replied to REMIX_23's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
I installed it. It's nice, if you want a change in look. It hasn't slowed down my PC that I have noticed either. Is it something that's nesscary? No. Does it hurt to install? No. So if you want a change in look or something different, go ahead and install it, it does look pretty cool. B -
Yes, it belongs in the electronics forum. Moved. B

I'm pretty sure I know a few people who use it. I'm going to try it out, it looks pretty cool. I'd stay with version 4.1 though, don't try the 4.2 beta. It's one of those things you're better off not beta testing. Note: it requires you have .NET Framework 1.1 or higher, so if you don't have that installed you're going to have to. B -

The update for the WMF (Windows Meta File) vulnerability is included in this month's security update release. Two additional updates have been released this month that affect Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. So, yes, there were two other updates released yesterday. Not just you who got that. B

I would actually say anything past Norton 2002 is bloated and not worth it. Also, you're right. People use Norton simply because of the name. If they weren't a big name like they are, they would have been long gone by now. B
-
Yeah, I saw this yesterday. Well, I like the idea, and think it's cool. The only thing I dislike about it is that they are promoting a Symantec product (Norton 2005). Personally, Norton has gotten worse over the years, for a few reasons. One they're software has become bloated, they install a million services/processes on your machine while other AV's only install one or two. Their definitions database isn't as good as other companies such as NOD32 (Eset) or Kaspersky either. Good thing there is an option to remove a piece of software you don't want. B

Yeah, I broke the live chat applet. It should be fixed sometime this weekend. B
