  1. Insert your Office 2003 CD then click OK. If you don't have the CD (it was preloaded at the factory) browse to the Office 2003 folder then click OK.
  2. I just installed XP's and Office 2000 updates. No issues so far.
  3. I just completed my updates and IE7 was not available. I will have to ask the gang at WindowsBBS.
  4. Boot with your XP CD to the Recovery Console and run chkdsk /r. You could also use the Maxtor utility to check the drive. Maxtor PowerMax v4.23
  5. I know you are probably kidding, but I kind of thought that might be true. I checked to see if it was listed in optional updates, but it was not. It was nowhere to be found using microsoft updates. I'll let you know tomorrow when I do my updates. I check the box not to show it again and the last time the update site warned that I did check not to show. If it's still offered I will find it.
  6. Maybe they heard the many screams of those who had problems.
  7. I could go for a large hot mug of coffee and anything loaded with sugar. Maybe some hot apple fritters. It was cold this morning (-10 actual). I went up on the roof at 12:30 and shoveled until 4:00. The snow was over 4 feet and compacted. The ice on the edge was about 10 inches thick. My arms and back are sore and feeling is just coming back to my fingers and toes. I have about 2 more hours of shoveling to do, but that can wait until tomorrow when it is supposed to go up in the 30s. I am glad my friend showed up with the backhoe to clean the snow I shoveled away from the house. Now it can snow

  9. None I have heard about. I still wait for a week before installing them on my setup.
  10. Seeing as it had 'nix on it try QtParted to format the drive as FAT32. Then you could use KillDisk.
  11. Yes, you either install it to a floppy disk or they have an ISO to burn to a bootable CD. If used wrong it can wipe the wrong drive if you aren't paying attention. It is quite simple to run and works very well. The free version will only do one pass, but that is usually enough to straighten out a corrupted drive. I use it to clean any used hard drive I save from from customer computers when upgrading. I have some drives that were causing them problems, yet after running KillDisk they worked fine. The customers still didn't trust the hard drive so I would keep them for my use. My XP setup resi
  12. The best way is to download the stand alone version and install it in Safe Mode after making sure your PC is clean. Internet Explorer 7 downloads
  13. hahahahahaha!!!!!!! I would have flushed that cat after catching it.
  14. Marty, when using KillDisk do not have any hard drives except for the one you want to zero out in the computer (set as Master). You could accidently wipe out your personal hard drive. The correct KillDisk download will self install to a formatted floppy. It sounds like you just copied the file to the floppy. Booting from Floppy for Free version Put in a floppy disk in the floppy drive then open My Computer. Right click on your floppy drive then select Format. Check the box for Quick format and click Start. Leave the floppy disk in the drive. Download KillDisk from the link Bootable Floppy Disk
  15. From TeMerc. http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=62293 Please do not use ComboFix until this issue is resolved.
  16. I decided to try Terragen. I have some work ahead of me to figuire this program out. My first struggled attempt.
  17. What are those? Fun cars. You would have enjoyed the Gremlin that we stuck in a 401 with 4-spd. from an AMX. That car was stable and fast. I had fun beating small block Fords and Chevys plus a certain 383 Road Runner with my '62 Corvair Spyder convertible with the turbo setup. I lost that one on a nasty curve and rolled it several times. The one conversion that scared even me was the '72 Vega I stuck a 327/350HP in. It was real fast going straight, but going through the curves!!! My next project I hope to do is stick a 500 c.i. Caddy in a 1/2 ton, 2 wheel drive, '88 to '92 GMC Sierra or Che
  18. I have stuck small block Chevies in Vegas, AMC Gremlins, Corvairs and VWs. Everyone of those projects were time consuming and expensive. I have been doing engine swaps for many years. In the old days I made my own engine/tranny adapters, headers and frame modifications. My fabrication shop was well outfitted and my tool costs were close to the six figure amount. I had friends that worked in the local spring shop which provided me with custom coil/leaf spring setups. I miss my shop and the enjoyment I got from working on custom vehicles. Someday I hope to start up again.
  19. Vista SP1 is supposedly due in the second half of 2007 around the time they release Longhorn Server.
  20. Now you're talking you about investing over $4000 to dump a small block Chevy in it. Not only do you need to buy a decent $mall block, but you will need the adapter setup, suspension upgrades, exhaust, better brakes and etc.
  21. I can deal with the snow, but the darn winds won't quit. The constant 30 m.p.h. gusts chill you straight to the bone. I pity those outside of this area that will be getting hit by the Nor'easter.
  22. Those rotary engines are a PITA. You would be better off buying a rebuilt rotary by a shop that guarantees their work. A non-turbo rotary for an '88 runs $2000 plus core charge. http://www.mazdarx7engines.com/Pricing.html You would need deep pockets for putting that Mazda back together. The foolish money invested on that project would be better spent on tricking out your hatchback.
