I got all of this for about 3 bucks: 8 Position Speaker Terminal Light up rocker switch Interlocking connectors for molex connectors AAA Battery Holder for power off batteries 2 Normal Rocker Switches 5ft of Desoldering braid 8 Yellow LED's I'm thinking about going back and buying what they have left the day they close (after some negotiations of course )

You can search download.com for a program that "record what i hear" There are some that are about 1MB that will do it for you

For recent models you should be able to use the manufactures website. For older computers, or ones where you cannot figure out what the hardware is, you can use a program like cpu-z

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you downloaded a pro version of it through the free version. That would be your problem If not, it could be JAVA, but I wouldn't have "updated" the program in the first place

I've got 100 text messages per month, and the problem is the received messages! I probably send out 30 each month, but receive over 100 from friends with random crap on there. Just be glad she hasn't texted to Jamster or the Joke-a-day things that cost $1 a day!

It's amazing how much they charge compaired to local shops. Ideally (for a shop) it's easiest to just reformat for any problem but if jacks things up for customers!

These "test pictures" - were they taken when the card went blank. If so, you mostly likely SOL because you wrote over the other pics.

Got the fans in today - they are BRIGHT! I'll have to get to work with a jigsaw/dremel to get the frame set up!

It's on the same drive, just a different partition. I'll have to do the FIXMBR when I have time!

Okay, I had my two minutes of fun, but it's time to uninstall Vista because of :suprise: no driver support! :suprise: Anyways, it was installed on a separate partition than Windows XP, so I'm assuming I just format the Vista partition. But, is there anyway to get my normal bootloader back without doing running FIXMBR? Do I even have to revert the bootloader because Vista used a different boot ini file? Anyone done this yet?

Weird Problem Building New Pc
xxkbxx replied to electrontau's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Power supply overload? What is the brand/wattage? -
It is possible. It's either the memory or the Windows installation, but I highly doubt that it's the installation

Every now and then when I push it I can smell somewhat of a burning smell (nothing too horrible . I was contemplating putting out a local ad to fix computers, but I'm so busy over the summer with my temp job as a camp counselour, football practice, upcoming summer school, then a busy school schedule come August. I think I might get a job waiting once football is over so that I can be a waiter in college (since they 99% of the time require experience) Back to the project, I'm looking forward to those fans coming in so I can get the thing started. I realized today that the bottom half of th

Yeah, why bother then? Besides, your new one will be outdated in a year!

Okay, here's the dealio. I've got a pretty good Amplifier in my car, a Kenwood KAC-9102D and my car's AC doesn't work (a new air compressor would cost more than what my car is worth), so I think cooling the AMP over the summer might become a problem (thankfully I bought the $15 no questions asked warrenty, I got the amp for $150 w/ shipping via eBay) I just purchased 4 of these fans from eBay and I'm planning on building a cooling rig. Right now there's already a switch set up in my dash that powers some white LED's in the subwoofer box, so I will pull power off of that. That plan is to air

Actually, McAffee privacy service was the best, you can't do anything with the prompt up, which I believe comes up in safe mode too. Too bad it's a HUGE memory hog

Terrorist, don't some computers store the password on the BIOS chip so that clearing the CMOS won't do it? I think that is the case with some (at lease some laptops for certain) Worst case, just mess with the MBR and boot Windows off a floppy!

Not bad, if I get bored I might be building a project PC by Christmas for a server or something

You can do a pretty good high end PC by watching the Newegg sales

You aren't going to be able to change the name of the HDD that windows boots from because everything in the registry points to a D:/ not a C:/. You can change the Optical drives through Disc management, Removing the drive letters, then renaming them.

Just pull out your RAM or another component!

That's a bummer when things stop woring. At least it opens the door to a new computer!

those are symptoms of bad hardware (CPU, Memory, MOBO)

I'm rebuilding the PC right now, with the addition of a Sound Blaster Live!, and I'm trying to find out a pinout to connect the front audio jumpers to the card. Anybody know if this is possible with a PCI card?
