Woo-Hoo! The test results came in for the AP US History test and I got a 5 out 5! Basically I have credit now for about 6 credit hours in US History at most colleges so I don't have to take any more history!

Okay, I've done the basics - changed the router password (not admin anymore ) and set up WEP with a 128 bit password. What else would be helpful to do to protect myself from intruders, such as blocking ports fro telenet and netbios (things I've read about online but am unsure whether are useful to do or not)

I'd repair Windows first, highly doubt it's a cable.

Getting Ready For The Rebirth Of My Pc.
xxkbxx replied to Honda_Boy's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
You shouldn't have to worry about backing it up - I've never had a Repair install go wrong before -
Limewire - just kidding

To save yourself some trouble - a memory dump will be caused by the OS gone bad, memory, or hardrive issues. I highly doubt you'd be able to pinpoint exactly what from the error code. If you reinstall Windows and continue to have that problem (or more specifically if you CAN'T reinstall windows because you're catching a BSOD during installation) it is most likely memory gone bad. If you wanted to reconfirm that you could run memtest

Okay, I was informed this morning that my mom attempted to order something off a website, and decided she knew how to change internet settings because the site said we didn't accept cookies. So, she blindly checked through Internet Settings and she "doesn't remember what all she did." I'm pretty sure she messed with the router setup (the computer she was on is wirelessly connected to the internet - and the backup computer which is hardwired to the router doesn't connect) Right now, I'm on the backup computer hardwired to the modem. The only thing I could see that was blatantly wrong was she

I was pulling for Italy - or pretty much just not rooting for France - that French goal off the PK was horrible. He wasn't even touched - but like I said earlier, you have to be a good actor to play soccer

I would still need a DVD-Rom to install it. BTW. They came out with updates for Vista to fix some of the driver issues. Windows Vista Beta 2 Updates Mine is for the wireless internet adaptor, Windows Crashes when the installation even tries to begin. Everything else works fine though - I just have no purpose for a computer that doesn't go online!

I used biggerbids.com and modified their HTML code. They also host the pictures, so it's win-win (cause it's free)

IMO - don't waste time with the VISTA ISO. I'll send you the disc if you REALLY want it (mine didn't shake out too well because of drivers)

Toshiba Laptop-disable Power Saver, Other Services?
xxkbxx replied to LiXindi's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
If it has XP, run XP. Don't downgrade if your computer can handle it. BTW, what's so wrong about the power settings? -
Toshiba Laptop-disable Power Saver, Other Services?

The factory CD's will put all the Toshiba app's back on there. Find somebody with an OEM disc -
I know some of the items will. I purchased mainly audio cables, but I got 2 Fiber Optic Component Video cables for $60 that ussually cost near $120

As I mentioned in another topic - a local Radio Shack went out of business. I came back to purchase things from their ridiculously low prices (like 80% discount) to resell on eBay. Everything I bought was a Monster Audio/Video Cable (all high quality ie fiber optics, HDTV, ect.) I got an additional 10% since I purchased 30 items. The pictures should speak for themselves. First, the 3 foot long receipt. Second, the final price (shocking that this would be thousands of dollars under normal occasions!) Check out my eBay auctions that start up in a few weeks if you're interested! (I've got

Okay, calling up AOL tomorrow and I need to know if anybody has actually DONE THIS THEMSELVES! I really don't trust blogs and such - so only if you or somebody you know firsthand has cancelled AOL and been able to keep their e-mail address. Worst case scenario i'll just have the service lowered to the bring your own network and not sign on with AOL. So, save me a headache - I know the phone salesman will lie to me!

100%, but I just took the AP US History test Still awaiting results by mail (that's a different story though - you pay close to $90 to take the test, then you can pay an optional $8 and phone in for your grades in late June, friggen scam)
