Which Computer Is Better Suited For The Long Run?
Parrotgeek7 replied to Ayla's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
If it weren't for the fact that they are laptops i'd sy #1, but since they are, #2 is a better choice. BTW, both of those machines are going to be horrible gaming systems compared to a cheap desktop. I would never suggest buying a laptop to game on (think about how cramped the keyboardlayout is) -

The fax setup is part of Outlook in MS office. Go thru the outlook setup and setup either a bogus fax nmber and user or cancel it out. You may need to uninstall office then reinstall it and choose custom install, run all from my computer and deselect the fax portion. -

It would help if you were a bit more specific...like what app and where is it located? Thats almost a default firewall is blocking you message but since we don't know what you are trying to do its kind of hard to help. -
How To Find Out Your Computers Port Number?
Parrotgeek7 replied to StealthG's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Certain applications use certain ports to access the web. The most common one is port 80 which is used by your browser. 21 and 100 by your email. Easiest way to find which port your app uses is to either read the "read me" file included with most apps or do a qucik Google on the app. Games use differnt ports so if you tell us what apps/games we can probably tell you what port it uses. -

The chipset shouldn't make one iota of difference for compatability but you might save a few $ by going with an N-Vidia based card -

Was in the keys...not now. Rule #1, never try to reason with hurricane season. Drop your beer, grab your gear and get the hell out. You don't have to go home, you just can't stay here.

In the immortal works of Frank Zappa: "I'm the kind of red blooded American boy that'll do anything for $50". of course, $50 went a lot farther then, now it doesn't even fill my gas tank.

Time to break down and spend $15 on a new multi media keyboard.
