You were downloading from a p2p w/o an pdated anti virus? Youre braver then me. You can also run avg's free version to see what else is hiding on there. As always, turn of system restore and run the scans in safe mode.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I'm going to stick to my guns with this. I want to put something together myself, so I can control all the components. The main hangups I had with pre-built NAS devices (and I've looked at quite a few) were the lack of Novell support and proprietary hardware. As I've said, I'm not much of a hardware guy, but was hoping to find some help on picking out a case and motherboard, as those are the two things I'm most confused on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just get a big Antec case and an Intel mobo w/on board video, a Celeron D, several hdds and alot of ram. "college Major" Computer Question
Parrotgeek7 replied to xxkbxx's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
A degree in any technical or business related field is usefull for getting you in the door for an interview, certs give you a paper advantage but rea world experience will get you face time with employers. Get a job working in the field and get your bosses and clients to write you letters of reccomendation when its time. Nothing speaks louder then accolades from people you have worked for and with. -

The ONLY good thing about that show is that Patrick and Kevin are SUPPOSED to be doing some guest spots, otherwise, Leo the Clueless will just dispense 3rd Grade level tech advise, like he always used to. JMO

They are the large, solid rectangular objects wih a ribbon cable and power cable plugged into them. Most cases have them mount in a cage below the cd drives and floppy.
