Thanks Mr. B. Looks like I made a good find. Tried it out and I'm really impressed with it. It also has a spot that shows everything connected to the net. Every program that is waiting for a new update and so forth.

I think it would be a great idea. I never really paid much to post counting anyway. Even back to some of the old flame wars on TTV over post counts. Mr. B can restart me back to 0 everyday and it wouldn't stop me from posting at all. Some days I might make one post, and others might make 50 or so. When you think of the old TTV boards, sometimes you made a number of post in one thread just walking someone through a problem step by step. and no one worried about post counts except for the kids who were new and putting in comments that made no sense and had their count up in the hundreds, (Dutch

You can opt. to do an automatic repair of XP instead. When you get to the part where it ask if you want to install or do a repair. Click to install XP. Your disk will then start to install setup files. You will then come to a second window that will also ask if you want to install or do a repair of XP. At this point click to do the repair and it will automatically scan your system fixing and repairing any missing or corrupt files it finds. But remember, after any repair you will need your CD Key and might need to update security updates that may get removed during the repair process. The fi

I don't really believe anyone here was out for a post count. I believe everyone was just out to post here at BestTeckie. We are just trying to keep things going here. This WILL be a very good place. Most of us right now, have a good idea about computers. And those that don't are here to learn what they can. We have had some very good questions so far for help. But those are few and far between as of yet. We will need more people looking for help to find there way here to BestTechies, before we have to worry about those that are just out for a post count. As now, we have a very good list of

Hi all. Joined the TTV message boards back in 2000, and other tech related boards there after. I am 46 years old, and live in the Black Hills of S.D. Will be married 25 years the 6th of Oct. Spent 20 years working in the Homestake Gold Mine before they shut down in 98, after 126 years of mining gold. I now work in one of the larger casinos in my area as the head slot tech. I do all the work and repairs on the slot machines and I am in charge of the CDS System. (computer data system) which incorporates the slot machines together with the rest of the network.

THE MAYONNAISE JAR &THE COFFEE A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of san

Basically, spybot successfully removed it, but it continues to show as a false positive thereafter. This has to do with the way the registry key is removed, and then windows creates a new one to replace it. The replacement is not the DSO exploit, but shows up as it. They are working on a fix where spybot will create a new registry entry to replace the one it removes so that windows does not continue to create new ones which test as positives. In the meantime, fix it once and ignore it thereafter (unless you get an infestation by something) . Just immunize your system with spybot and spywarebla
