Ha Ha Ha!!! That was so funny!!! I remember when a friend's little girl was a toddler that her mother and I had to clean up our occasional potty mouths (I wasn't a Christian back then), and oh how hard that one word was to drop from my vocabulary. And she knew I wasn't supposed to say it because she would go tattle to either my friend or my hubby if I slipped in it. Now she has little ones and has to watch her own mouth...poetic justice!!! And I still have three or four words, including that one, that slip out once in a long while when I am mad or hurt. OOPS!!! Pat God bless everyone.

Marty just be yourself and to .... with anyone who tries to tear you down. And you are in good company, I saw someone putting Marsh down awhile back for how he writes too. So just consider the source as my Mom would say, and ignore their bad manners. That way you have taken the high ground while they chose to act like lowlife. Here is a hug to make up for what happened over on the other board. Pat God bless everyone.

I couldn't believe it when I read this in our local Oregonian this morning, so Googled for it today. It is true that the IRS wants to do this dastardly deed. I still can't figure out what they are smoking to be so dumb, or else they must have gotten some good kickbacks or something to come up with such a stupid scheme to sell our private information to others who could then resell it to whoever. I am fuming mad and hope everyone else is too, enough so everybody please call Senators and Representatives and DEMAND they stop the IRS from this stupid crazy plan!!! Here are a couple of links tha

What Are Some Goodies For Xp

I haven't tried Picasa yet as I haven't bought a digital camera yet, but just saw a mention in one of the PC World magazines I have been catching up on that this is so good, it would be worth buying (I will try to find the article tomorrow and come back with it if I do). Google owns it now and it is a free photo editor/organizer. Picasa Pat God bless everyone. -
I am so glad Marty that your family is ok. Praise God. Yes it is always hard to lose a crop, but that is small potatoes when it could have been so much worse. In reading the article that Sethook linked to, it is amazing that no lives were lost. And that there were good plans in place to deal with something like that storm. Good to hear that lessons learned from Katrina helped the people in charge there to do better than happened here. I just hope our country gets it all figured out by the next hurricane season here. Take care folks wherever you are, and always have backup supplies on hand for

Did a Google search to see if I could find out more information on that cyclone. Anyhow I found one site called World Weather Information Service. World Weather Information Service Which eventually led me to the Australian Government's Bureau of Meteorolgy, where I found this on Tropical Cyclone Larry. Looks like a bad one for sure. BOM's tracking Tropical Cyclone Larry This site shows a news item that the storm is decreasing in strength. But it pounded the affected areas with heavy rains. Weather Zone news on TC Larry I think I have caught some of Marty's worrying, ooops! Pat God bless every

Because I'm a woman, I thought these were all funny if spoken by anyone other than my husband in which case they wouldn't be even remotely funny if he says any of them. HaHaHa!!! Pat God bless everyone.

WoW!!! What a wonderful blessing for the homeowner. Isn't it amazing how blessings can come out of even such destruction as Katrina? By the way congratulations to all the young people who are helping out down in the Katrina area on their spring breaks. Pat God bless everyone.

Thanks Marty for sharing those. Had a good chuckle from several of them! Pat God bless everyone.

Hello Marty, Hubby and I are both praying that no loss of life or property will happen to the people in the storm's path. And especially that your daughter will be ok. I just checked my wunderground weather for the storm map of Tropical Cyclone Larry that appears to be the one you are talking about. Looks pretty nasty. And also another Tropical Cyclone, Wati, that possibly could hit same area or lower down the coast right after Larry. That's not as strong though yet as Larry. Here are the two Wunderground links. Tropical Cyclone Larry Tropical Cyclone Wati Wherever these ferocious storms hit,

Hubby says it's about $2.39 around here. I thought they would wait until around Memorial Day to raise prices again. So if they are going up like this now, then how bad will they sock it to us by the Holiday weekend? Pat God bless everyone.

Happy Birthday Kat, May you be blessed with a long life filled with good health, happiness, and prosperity. Pat God bless everyone.

Thanks TT, for the additional good site link. My trick is to wait the menu out, sometimes takes a couple of rounds including a scolding for not entering right information, but often works. But then you might get a rep who is mad at being woken up, like I did on a rebate status site yesterday. Plus he said in a heavy India Indian accent that he was in Scotsdell, AZ, not Scotsdale and insisted I give name, phone #, and zip code just to ask a question on how to deal with 2 rebates for one product that wanted the original UPC for each one and in separate envelopes. Then said he couldn't see the w

While looking for something else on Google, I found this helpful site. Hope it is of interest to others for future reference. Manufacturers Contacts list from Consumer Reports Pat God bless everyone.

My goodness I sure didn't mean to hijack this thread like this. Yes wouldn't it be nice to be able to hang the laundry out to dry? Not an option for us, enough things disappear forever out of yards in this town without chancing losing our clothes and bedding/towels etc to the thieves, plus we are on a corner with two paved streets, and one dirt alley so lots of dirt and air pollution that I wouldn't want on my clothes. As for the site that TT emailed, interesting answer...to bad he doesn't put a disclaimer on his site that only some of the stuff (or parts there of) from the various brands list

Thanks everyone for your helpful info on dryers. Yes now that I am feeling/thinking a bit better today, I do remember that Maytag had moved out of this country. Also remembered today seeing lots of trouble with their Neptune product line on the Handyman forums this fall when I was searching for how to possibly fix (a temporary one as it turned out to be) our old dryer (not a Neptune!). Also I remember something about Maytag buying Amana a few years ago, and something in last year or so about Whirlpool buying them out. Sort of like the old joke of who's on first...to keep track of these compani

Good luck and have fun with the new site Mandy and Jeff. Off to a good start. Nice name for it too. I will be checking in on it once in awhile. Pat God bless everyone.

From my bookmarks: This looks like a good tutorial, and go to step one and at top of page if you want to buy a cd of full tutorial with pictures, for what sounds like a reasonable price. PC Mechanic Tutorial to build your own PC Windows Reinstall How to build your own computer I thought I had more, but that seems to be all for now. Not a big priority for me as I am not at all mechanical, just thought I'd keep the links in case my mechanical hubby was interested. Pat God bless everyone.

I saw this site listed in "Here\Now" section of current issue of PC World, and spent some time today learning how eyeglasses are made, how escalators work, how silly putty came to market, and how coffee is harvested and processed, among many other interesting things. Enjoy! Made How? Pat God bless everyone
