Thanks to Mac linking to this thread from another one, I found a good place to put good deals I find. Don't usually check out the forum index unless I am posting a new thread....and then I am very one-tracked minded. I mainly just use View New Posts to see what's going on. So now I finally know about this thread, ...sticky too! Oh my how do I miss stuff that's right under my nose? Anyhow this is for anyone wanting a full Internet Security Suite for Free after in store savings and two rebates, neither of which is an upgrade rebate! This was in our local Sunday paper ads last Sunday. I think

Thanks Mac for the link to the other thread. Good idea!!! I didn't know we had such a thread around here. Don't know how I missed seeing it earlier, or am I just absentminded this morning, or not enough coffee yet to think straigt? Pat God bless everyone.

Amen!!! With tears of gratitude to our men and women fighting for us all to be safe and secure, and may we always keep our blinds wide open to be able to see and help others in need too! And with prayers for their safety, and for all people to be free. God bless America. Pat God bless everyone.

Welcome to BestTechie Cliff, I hope you will like it here. We are a family of refugees from other boards, and continually adopt new family members. So welcome to our family! Stop by the cafe, find a nice comfy chair but don't sit on Honeybun our little pet mascot, and have a cup of coffee and a doughnut (calorie free of course!), while you read the threads, and do post anywhere you want to jump in. Pat God bless everyone.

Hubby and I share, but there is a limit....and that is waaaaay over it....Ha! That's a good one Barb!!! Pat God bless everyone.

Glad you folks liked the article ....as for me... well I read the magazine's nice paper version (I am old fashioned I admit it) so haven't navigated through the online one yet for the links to stuff I am interested in. Thanks Liz for bailing me out with the 'short and sweet' version link. Yep sure alot of stuff that I didn't have a clue of what they were for even after reading about it...Ha! Glad it will be a good resource for you Chachazz. Naming, I hope you find good stuff to use! I hope everyone posts a link to it on other boards they belong to. I put it on World Start already. Wow JD, m

Marty, It does no good to be worrying about something that may or may not happen like this bird flu becoming a pandemic. So far it has only hit a very very tiny percentage of the people in the countries that have had any sign of it. As for trying to keep people out of any country by trying to get them to tell truth about whether they have been sick or not...well I don't think that will be very effective because some people who have been sick with this or anything else may end up lying in order to get past the customs office to get somewhere they think would take care of them better than own c

I thought maybe some of you might be interested in PC World's current issue review of free software. Some things are familiar, many are new, and I am sure nearly everybody will find something useful in the list. They said in article that all have been tested for malware and came up clean which is good to know. 101 Fabulous Freebies Pat God bless everyone.

I am so glad to hear the update on your friend. What a relief she wasn't sent back home. Thanks to you and the paramedic!!! Bless you both!!! I bet your friend is feeling safer now she is in a place where she will be cared for properly and not on her own unable to do for herself with no one around when she first needed help until you showed up! That must have been so scary for her!!! My heart just broke over thinking of her laying there needing help all by herself. Poor dear lady!!! No one should go through such a thing due to some hospital error on not telling the proper people she was coming

I should have posted this the other day, but it is still available to read for a few more days on the Oregonian website. Intel and Mac news from the Business section of the Oregonian newspaper I thought it would be of interest to folks. Pat God bless everyone.

Calgon bubbling up and out of the pool and down the patio making a great skidzone, Liz how many wheelbarrowsful did you put in? Glad you got the 'gators out first. And turning up the pool heat sounds really good to me, now can someone install those jacuzzi bubbler thingys just for my old achy back? Tell Mom and Dad that those who want to see the Spring flowers need to do own gardening chores when they come back early...that ought to cure them if it is still cold when they get back. Mac it is sure good to see you back on the boards, now you can sit back and watch me in real hot water elsewhere

Hello Nerelda, it's good to see you again. Go to the company website and look for manuals for youe model. By the way my Belkin instructions say not to put the printer on battery side but on the separate surge control only plugs. I'd have to check wherever I put the info as to why...to much current draw when in use I think...can't quite remember. Mine is 1100 something or other....isn't that just like me to not know what it is...oh well...if I find it I'll let you know. OK It's 1100 VA. We bought it at Comp USA in January with $60 in instant savings and rebates so final price was only $70. Am s

Oh my Liz, that sounds so awful for her, and for you!!! Hugs to both of you!!! You did a good job taking care of her needs and then to get her other help back on track. Why didn't her family people solve it on the previous two days? She is so lucky to have you for a friend (actually it sounds like she has adopted you as one of her family) she can count on. I hope all of us are so lucky when thing go wrong in our lives that someone will be there to care about us like you do for her. Yes even when she drives you nuts over things!!! Yes if you aren't used to cleaning up and changing bed sheets

I am so sorry to hear his wife died. Sounds like he lost his best friend if they knew each other nearly all their lives. So sad to lose someone you love. My thoughts and prayers go out for him. Will be over to G4 tomorrow if I have a chance and will add a post to his thread. Thanks for telling us about it. Pat God bless everyone. -

We did a fresh install of our Win2000 about six months after we got this computer (due to it somehow refusing to accept our password one day) with the help of HP tech support who told my hubby to put it in Fat32 instead of NTFS. I tried to talk both of them out of it, even though as a complete computer newbie I had only heard it should be in NTFS from Leo on Call For Help, but didn't win the argument so still have it in Fat32. I do have the instructions to change it over to NTFS but haven't been brave enough to do it yet. And it seems to be ok as is. Maybe someday I will reinstall it all so it -
Hi Chappy, Good to see you on board again. I do hope the outcome of that is the best possible one for all now or in future. That means I'd say more but don't want to break the rules. I am praying for you and your family. So this is round up time, first Mac, now Chappy, where are the other missing in action family members??? Come on back everyone soon. Pat God bless everyone.

I have to keep an eye on the sky to watch for afternoon thunderstorms popping back up again like yesterday's that caught me by surprise. So where to start...Oh that's right start with Mac...just so he knows we love him I'll pick on him a bit. Now Mac where and when did all this excitement happen on the boards here? Someone give me some links to those threads!!! Ha! Dadrat it did I miss all the excitement? Unless you are talking months and months ago about that one politcal thread...and don't you dare take any credit for that one going down the tubes....that was all due to certain person named

Hi everyone, I am still around from time to time. Seems like everyone here has been on spring break or ? Maybe doing last minute taxes? or like us still fighting the crud of colds. Gee whiz it has been weeks and weeks of downs and ups with our colds. We get to feeling better and so try to play catch up with all the work we put off then we end up with relapse again and again. Our elderly neighbors have been fighting it since mid January and we started with it in early to mid Feb. I can't even remember for sure now seems even longer!!! "Fresh Polish sausage with taters and kraut is the special
