Confirmed....NO FATALATIES!! Wow...thats great! Just watching a news conference right now about it, it seems they had just enough time to evacuate before the fire took hold. Quick response by the Toronto Airport Fire service is being credited with the evacuation being so sucessful. Way To Go Boys!!!

Hey all Just watching the news and an Air France Airbus A340 was struck by lightning while landing about an hour ago in Toronto Canada, it lost power and crashed off the runway bursting into flames. Jeez...this just said from a passenger...seems like almost everyone was able to escape before it burned...I hope this is the case. It crashed just off the highway and I guess some survivors were found wandering on the highway. 291 crew and passengers onboard....God Bless them all, I hope they all survive.

Hi Marty Unfortunately my friend, you'll NEVER completely be able to rid yourself of email spam, the spammers use different tactics to keep from being caught by message rules (filters). Getting just a few a week is doing rather well really, that means that your filters are doing a decent job of getting most of them. I have over 100 message filters (same thing as rules just a different name) and I still get a couple every now and then. The bad ones for me right now are all the Stock Market ones, because the spammers just use a ficticious name as the email title, so its different everytime and a

Hi StealthG The keylogger program itself is an OK program, the only reason that your antispyware programs are tagging it is in case it was not installed by yourself, but possibly by a Trojan on your computer. (just as shanenin posted) Keyloggers are commonly used by Trojans, to pick up and transmit your passwords and other vital bits of info, and sending it off to the Trojan's author without your knowledge. The keylogger program itself usually doesn't contain the ability to send information over the internet, the Trojan does that with another bit of software. To be absolutely positive that i

Master Ofr Slave Matter Where They
Chappy replied to shanenin's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Yes, it still matters. Thats what I was trying to say, I just used Cable Select as an example of the IDE chain workings. The Master disk must be at the top of the chain. -

Well, they're not being sued....yet, the actual trademark name will be "Windows Vista" using the 2 words together, so that should defer some potential lawsuits. The owner of Vista.com is only thinking about the potential trademark infringements right now and not actually persuing any legal actions. That will NEVER happen, these things are far too complex not to have some areas that need to be upgraded, or have holes plugged. Almost ALL software needs updates after release, look at just about anything you download. Even our most trusted programs need updates and they're nowhere near the comple

Hi all, I recieved this today and thought you may like to see it. Think about what you would do in this situation before scrolling down to see what the job applicant answered. BTW....he got the job. -- Ethical__Moral Question -- ==================== You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus: 1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die. 2. An old friend who once saved your life. 3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about. Which one would you choose to offer a ride to,

Most Of My Files And Folders Are Deleted
Chappy replied to X-Cannon's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Hi X-Cannon Were you able to recover all of the missing data yet? Let me know as it is all still there and recoverable as long as its not overwritten. I can walk you thru file recovery if needed. -
You can also take any unused 4 pin flat molex connector coming from the PSU and use it for fan power, thats how I have mine hooked up. The flat 4 pin ones are used for peripherals, all you need from it are the 12V power and the common, and there is usually an extra one in most peoples boxes. The YELLOW wire end is the 12V supply and the BLACK wires are the common. Its difficult to find just the small metal ends that plug into these holes seperately, so what I did was just trim the wire back further and folded it a few times so that it fit snugly into the molex power supply holes. A wrap of ele

A Really Stupid Question About Lightning
Chappy replied to blim's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
I just watched a MythBusters episode on this the other day. I don't know how many of you have heard of that show, but its where a couple of Hollywood special effects guru's, take common myths and put them to the test.....very funny show so catch it if you can. Anyway, they proved (to a certain degree) that it is possible for lightning to go thru phone lines and plumbing fixtures, and strike the person. -
Master Ofr Slave Matter Where They
Chappy replied to shanenin's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Hi shanenin Yes it does matter, the Master must always be at the top of the IDE chain. Cable Select works in this way, it takes the HDD at the top of the IDE and sets it at Master and the middle HDD is set to Slave automatically, without using jumpers to make the selection. -
Hi omarramo12 As pro1driver stated, all your RAM slots must be filled to work, but your machine can only support 1G of RAM so don't bother going any higher than that.

Hi everyone! Julian Beever does some awesome work on the sidewalks of Europe, check These out. I have some other pics of his work buried somewhere deep in one of my mailboxes, I'll post them if I can find them, they're truly amazing. The way he can make a 2D object look like its 3D takes some real talent, the last 2 pictures in the link above show how the illusion works. Enjoy!!
