    The Full Story

Thanks Dave. I know I hadn't been to JeePhor in a long long time; I was wondering what all happened to cause the end of TechSupport there. Even if the forum does stay, I would like to invite all you refugees to stay here a bt, and play an active part in the forums. You may like it much more (I would hope you will) and make this your permanent home. Matt
  2. man chappy, that sucks. at least you always have BT to come to. It seems like things are really breaking down (more) there... best of luck, Matt
  3. Welcome ex-JeePhoer members! You certainly chose a wonderful place to come. Not sure if you remember me from there, but like Chappy said, many of us used to be regulars there. You'll find your way around quickly and get to known people fast too! So what.. was there a rally or something bringing you guys here? lol edit: by reading some of your sigs, it looks like tech supports is gone there! What happened?? Matt
  4. I just looked over the list more closely, and perhaps it is a fairly news list. The majority of the links go to pages yet to be created. But, the good thing about wikipedia, anyone can add, edit, and create pages. For all you experts out there, this list could be yours to conquer! Matt
  5. Thanks Chappy! Ill download it when I return home! Matt
  6. Hi all. I just found this on Wikipedia. It is a compiled list of computer viruses, which links to additional information on each one. I am not sure how complete it is, but it is being "powered" by Symantec, Sophos, and other known reputable sources. List of computer viruses Matt

  9. hmm, this is a very odd problem, especially since it is happening on two different computers. Have you contacted your ISP about it? Are any other sites that you notice having problems? Matt
  10. /me walks into Cafe.. been a while! I hear that! Good to see you're up to your usual self mac. Man Liz, I wish I didn't have to cut my grass like that.. then again.. I wouldn't want a drought... hmm, Ill have to ponder that. I would be around more often, but I've been heavily working at GeeksToGo in HiJackThis training. Having fun there What else.. uh, Just got back from band camp. That was it's usual adventure The show we're doing this year is Tommy, by The Who. Probably one of the best albums of all time! *points at avatar* I'll try to stop in the cafe more often Matt
  11. Try this: (im not sure if it will work unless you already have admin access, but its worth a try) At a command prompt, type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes) and press Enter to open the Windows 2000-style User Accounts application. From there, see if resetting the password to the admin account helps. If that doesn't work, other things to consider: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/win_xp_passwords.htm There are also, obviously, some less legit ways to do this. But, by abiding by the rules of this forum, I will not list or mention any such methods. Good luck Matt
