Hi everybody. This seems to have stumped everyone in the chat, so lets see what we can think of here. I am trying to mount my C drive, so that I can access it through Ubuntu. I have it set up like this: /dev/hda1 /mnt/Windows ntfs ro,user,unmask=0222 0 0 we have also tried hda2, hda3, hda4, and hda5; but they all return the following error: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda1, missing codepage or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so I am almost 100% sure my other harddrive is nt

Well, after much talk with forum and chat members, and after ordering a new hard drive, I finally made the switch. I now have Ubuntu Linux running on my 80gig slave drive, w/ dual boot. I must say, Linux is going to take some time to learn, and I'm sure I'll be happy with the outcome. I'm glad I finally made it over!

Hey all, Most of you probably know the billy joel song "we didn't start the fire". Well, here's a flash video Ive had bookmarked for a while that is a little slideshow of everything in the song. Its quite cool (and if you haven't heard the song before, you can now) http://www.its.caltech.edu/~yel/Fire.html Matt

OK, I'm not sure If I have a problem or not. I opened up my case, and yes, the floppy drive uses a different kind of connector. BUT I seem to have only TWO IDE ports. It looks like my 2 cd drives are sharing one, and my current harddrive has the other. Is it possible to only have 2? If this is the case, can I make my two harddrives share the other one I have? This really sucks if not, the harddrive is alreay on its way. Any suggestions would help. (I'm not sure if you addressed this in your last post or not robroy...) Matt

I'm not sure about your flash problem but plugins are stored in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins if you still wish to remove it ( i know the flash plugin is there too)
