  11. I have two seperate physical drives, when I "move" files it is actually a copy. The file is still on "C" and has to be deleted after the move. Don't think it would do that with you but something to remember if you did happen to install a second drive. M

  15. The Ten Commandments of PC Security Fight off nasty viruses, worms, and Trojan horses by following these simple rules. Daniel Tynan Contributing editor and award-winning journalist Daniel Tynan writes PC World's monthly Gadget Freak column. And it was written (by Bill Gates, et al): Thou shalt use a Windows PC to do thy work and it will be good. But Windows computers are vulnerable to plagues of biblical proportions: viruses that bring down entire networks, e-mail worms that replicate at lightning speed, Trojan horses that hide inside otherwise innocent programs, hackers that take over compute
  16. I have read your posy @ G4. Try adding a connection in IE for DW. You may have to set it as LAN. Look in FF Options/Advanced/Connections for the settings. Good Luck M

  20. install runs through without errors? Goto manufatures website, download diagnostic tools, run to test drive. Drive may have bad sectors. OS CD is free of scratches/smudges? Label side of cd is free of scratches? M
  21. I take it you are DSL or always connected service. You may be losing bandwith to another application connecting to the internet. I personally have ZA to ask when any connection is attempted, execpt IE and Firefox. In ZA Program Control/Programs tab, here you can set the option to ask/block/allow or remove programs that may not be used anymore. Not sure if this would solve the problem, not sure what is meant by "firewall doesn't accept it". M
  22. A friend of mine has some partitions that range from 1gb to about 5gb. His reasoning is to have him burn off data as that partition is filled. Of course he has larger partitions for testing s'ware before installing and using on primary. One partition has a default download folder. Games on one. M
