  1. I think what sultan is talking about, is taking the links, from a post, that someone has made. When you hit the "Quote" button it displays all of the code used in the post. Then you would just copy the entire code for the link, and save it in a wordpad document. Just create several documents (spyware, virus, etc.), and copy the links to the appropriate document. As sultan said, keep all of these documents in one folder (G4, HJT, etc. ....) Or, you can enter the code in manually, in the appropriate document. Then when you need a link, open the document that contains the link, then copy and past
  2. You're welcome, bar5. I think that's every newbies biggest problem, downloading everything the mouse passes over. I know it was mine. Live and learn, I guess. Spywareguard might not be something you'll use all of the time. The more internet "savy" you become (reading EULAs, researching potential downloads, etc.), the less likely you'll need it. But it's nice to have, just in case. If it just catches one program, it's worth it to me.
  3. bar5, SpywareBlaster is mostly for surfing. It blocks the "nasties" from installing, from web sites. SpywareGuard works sorta like your AV, except for spyware. If you download a program that contains spyware and try to run it, SpywareGuard will notify you that it contains spyware, and give you the option to delete the spyware files. Example: Say you download a free program, but you didn't know it comes bundled with Gator. When you try to install the program, and it gets to Gator.exe, a box will pop up warning you that Gator is trying to install. You can either OK it, or delete it. Of course de
  4. sidekickcat, Another one to consider is: Spywareguard - provides a real-time protection solution against spyware that is a great addition to SpywareBlaster's protection method. I run all 3 with Norton, with no problems. Been using Spywareblaster and Spywareguard about 3 yrs. a² about 2 yrs.

  8. Glad you liked. Cool, huh? Tried all 8 of them, yet?
  9. Lately, here's where I waste a lot of time. Experimental 3d animations that follow mouse movement. These are Flash animations. ActiveX must be enabled. The home page is also very resource intensive. If you have an older or slow PC it may freeze up on you. The home page maxes out my CPU (1.7 GHz P4). The individual animations are not so bad. http://www.tekhna3d.com/
  10. Marty, thanks for starting this post. As I've said before, I do appreciate the warnings you post. It's a war out there and you're our early warning system. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the links, bozodog. I got a 404 Error on the second one. Here's an article on C\net with a little more info: Phishing twist relies on bogus blogs

  12. Nice! The old Atomic Cannon?
  13. StealthG, When you make an "Audio" CD, not "Data", it converts MP3 to wav, then burns it. It's not a permanent conversion, just for the burning of an 'Audio" CD. In the FAQs: I've had no problems listening to the CDs in players, that don't support MP3s. Also, Audio CDs don't, or rarely, work on CD-RWs. Just use regular CDs.
  14. DeepBurner I haven't had any problems with this program.

  18. Your welcome, echobay. Yeah, the internet gets nastier and nastier every day. Got to stay on your toes. The ones I really feel bad for, are the ones that just got a computer, hook up to the net, start surfing and don't have a clue, as to what they just got themselves into. But, I guess that's what we're here for, to try to help and educate.
