An elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100%. The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, "Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again." The gentleman replied, "Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times!" Here's some Michigan spring and summer for you, Liz. There's flowers in the yard and skin on the beach near South Haven. It's minus 5 here this morning, with a wind chill of -24. Not much snow this end of the lake effect belt.

Holy COW! Winter has arrived. And the day after Groundhog day too. I'ma thinkin' I need two pair of waffle weaves today.

About 12 inches of snow on the ground, 11f with a wind chill of -3. Hot coco and turnovers sound real good. I'm sure glad we live just outside the "lake effect" snow belt. Those folks will be digging out for a day or two. Hmmm, is this the tunnel that leads to TT's door?

Wishing you a very happy day!

Whew! 5 inches and hour!??!!! Dang, I haven't seen that for years over here. We did get another 4-5 inches last night, and it's supposed to keep it up till 7pm tonite. Hot toddy for me please... Whoopps, I'll stop by the pub.

And it's really, really cold here too. 9f with a wind chill of -3. Lake effect machine is cranking, 6-8 inches expected. Hot coffee please.

This is really fun to watch. As of now there are two eggs in the nest. I have the "Pop-up Cam" (found on the right side of the page) docked in the corner of my screen. Check it out Eagle Cam

I saw that, Liz. When Sweet Brit lived in the UK several of his forum members bought Dell printers for 10 pounds each on special. ($20) And just threw them away when they ran out of ink. It's pretty dang bad when refills are worth more than the hardware.

Whew! Once you start reading you can't stop. THANX! I think.

We bought an Epson Photo R200 over a year ago. It has worked flawlessly. Although there are black and 5 colors, we bought 3 reloads (including 2 blacks each) on E-Bay for less than 2 carts for my old Lexmark. My neighbor has a new HP that came with her new Dell and the carts (2) from Dell are $119. So whatever you purchase, check the reviews and make sure you can get a reasonable price on inks.

Ahhh, but does that reflect free shipping? Anyway, I'm just trying to help folks looking to upgrade.

Here's a good deal for those of you upgrading your memory for the new Vista install.
-
Frankly, I'm a bit offended by the upgrade in hardware needed for a Vista upgrade. Anyone with a decent P-4 and GFX card has more computing/processing power than is ever needed. Other than gamers and possibly folks into photo editing and graphic design, the power of even 3-4 year old computers goes unused. Security? I believe most of us have a handle on that. So what's the deal? Bigger, faster, bigger, better, newer, yata yata yata.

I agree ij, I have used Avast for years now and I just love it. It's so good my Sweet Brit hubby says he's not renewing his Kaspersky's.

Yeah, how about that. Crude is at a 20 month low and our prices here have only dropped to $1.92 to $1.95.

Corporate Ingenuity in America A Japanese company (Toyota) and an American company (General Motors) decided to have a canoe race on the Missouri River. Both teams practiced long and hard to reach their peak performance before the race. On the big day, the Japanese team won by a mile. The Americans, very discouraged and depressed, decided to investigate the reason for the crushing defeat. A management team made up of senior management was formed to investigate and recommend appropriate action. Their conclusion was the Japanese team had 8 people rowing and 1 person steering, while the American t

Sinkholes caused by bad water lines are the result of our corrupt and inefficent governments. Since a leak can cause one as fast as the water runs out, how do they justify "five to ten years"? Now Florida and a few other states are suffering a much more serious problem with natural sinkholes. Good explaination here And some great pics here. No matter the reason, it all seems to point at society. Improper maintanence or overuse/abuse of our ground water.

Hey, Pete. Do you have a recipe for hot sauce? We have a "ton" of various hot peppers chopped and in the freezer and would like to put up some sauce.

Doesn't the printer's software have a setting for envelopes? Look into the "advanced" properties/settings.

Racing (@ 45mph) along south on US 131 in freezing rain with a trailer load of firewood... Hear two semi's talking and see them catching me in my mirrors. One says: There's a blazer ahead movin' slow with 4-ways on. The other says: Sure wish I could... I gotta do "double nickles" to make the "D" ave hill. The first one passes me and says: Here I am in the fast lane, scared as h#ll to get back over. The black ice was so bad I slid slowly down the shoulder when I stopped to make sure my trailer lights were working. CB's sure make a long trip easier.
