  1. Honda Boy, read: Irfanview We don't need billboards for pics to see your stuff. My margin is blown 3 inches since you posted that pic.
  2. Well, I'm in the stone age. I use Mozilla (plain vanilla) Suite. I guess it's based on Netscape and I don't have that option. It only seems to happen in threads that have oversized pics in them. I always use Irfanview to downsize my pics for forums. Seems the webmaster could put some limits on the margins and/or pic size.
  3. Dang! It fixes me too..... I thought it was those huge pics Honda Boy posted that blew the margins. Thanx! I take that back.... Even this thread has a problem. I have to scroll an inch either way to get the whole page. The second line of options (just above here) is over lapped and jumbled together. Webmaster.... please help.
  4. Cash, cash, cash.... I use my card if I need it before I can get to the bank for cash. And only with retailers I have done business with for years... I believe I heard the numbers were stolen for "several" years... HELLO!!!!!! 45 mil accounts?? And no one noticed? Jeesch
  5. Ok, bridges need big stuff to handle big traffic. But the rest of this bugs me to no end. Why such a huge windmill? Why not several smaller ones? One goes down and you have back up... Kinda like two HDs instead of a huge one. Just like NUKE plants. Why build one big enough to power 15-20% of a state? Why not smaller (safer) ones near each community? Kinda like our Aircraft carriers... I guess it's a man thing, just like MS Vista and it's upgrade requirements... Who the heck needs it? (untill the software builders get online and make what the average user needs obsolete) Bigger, better, faste
  6. MAC!!!! Hey MAC! Where the heck are you? Has anyone seen Mac come up from the basement? I know hes not in the cafe... MAC!! Jeesch, I hope the robospiders didn't get him.
  7. AhhHemm, the last I heard critter food had a more stringent inspection process than people food. Maybe we ought to look at Canada and the "Fair Trade Agreement"? Who the heck is inspecting THEIR processes? And where are they getting the raw materials? Didn't t our first Mad Cow discovery come from Canada?
  8. The Robins will go south if the weather is bad. Many stay in the warm swamp areas but only so many can be supported in said areas. Our daffs are trying to bloom but the cold snap has stopped them for now. I have these wonderful saphire blue spring bulbs, called "Siberian Squills" I think. They are sparkling all over the shady garden right now. NO dandilions yet... Pat, the weedeater don't get it! Have him use a garden fork, plow it down next to the dang weed, loosen a bit and pull the root and all up... I pulled a root over 2 foot long one time. Ok, I'll admit... I now use one dose of "weed a
  9. Maybe have a look at the linksys manual instead of the help file? You should be able to set it to "always on" Have you tried your ISP provider?
  10. I agree, Pete. I wonder what happened to the "lab tech" in charge of checking incoming shipments? In this day and age of NOT having any stockpile of incoming stock and using a "receiving and shipping" rotation as fast as the process allows.... Go figure if a lab inspector is off on vacation or sick leave. And why would they be checking for a "rat poison, cum cancer treatment" in an animal food plant? It must not be very pricey if it's used for rat control in other countries....
  11. God bless you, handplane. Prayers going out your way for a full recovery.
  12. What is with the folks in Washington? Fer cryin' out loud, it's their dang bridge! 13K is less than a regular semi-truck load. Jeesch! Seems these folks don't like anything that has to do with rubber on the roads.... New New NASCAR track Don't pass the buck, Pass up the buck.
  13. Well, I'd have to say my vet was correct about the coloring. The little mutt has no skin problems when eating a non colored food. I started on Iams when I got my Dane pup, because at the time they were the only ones making a "large breed" puppy formula. I'm one of the few who do read the labels and what goes into my furbabies food. I trust my vet of almost 30 years. I do not, nor does he try to sell me "his" food. In fact I believe he only sells the prescription stuff, needed for critters with kidney or other real problems.
  14. Someone tell me again why I pay $28-30 for 40 pounds of Iams, instead of $18-20 for Pedigree? My vet said my little dog had skin allergies because of the dies in food. Now, I ask, why color dog food if THEY only see in black and white?
  15. DRILL PRESS: A tall upright machine useful for suddenly snatching flat metal bar stock out of your hands so that it smacks you in the chest and flings your beer across the room, splattering it against that freshly-stained heirloom piece you were drying. WIRE WHEEL: Cleans paint off bolts and then throws them somewhere under the workbench with the speed of light. Also removes fingerprints and hard-earned guitar calluses from fingers in about the time it takes you to say, "YEOWW CHIT...." ELECTRIC HAND DRILL: Normally used for spinning pop rivets in their holes until you die of old age. SKIL SAW

Well, RR's instructions state you don't want/have to remove all the rust, just the loose scale. It is, after all, needed for the reaction to take place. In fact it can even be left unpainted if you apply two coats. Something like the nerf bars are built by another facility and installed, sometimes, at the dealer. The problems they had with the paints back then was because they were switching over to a "water-born" paint to reduce emmisions and VOC's. It ended up being a tough learning curve with paint peeling on every manufactures cars. I wouldn't blame your washing for the problem. Five years
  17. All righty! A home you CAN live in. Best of luck and enjoy. Sure is nice your friend is next door too. I helped build several wheelchair ramps here in the Z00 and was taken aback by the overwhelming thanks we got from the folks that were in so dire need.
  18. Oh jeesch. Sounds like a good old fashioned commune..... Politics, sex and rock n roll.
  19. Ohhh, I had a problem with Panda a long time ago. Seems it put a Tracking cookie on your system to "better serve it's customers". Even the free scan leaves it behind. I, for one, don't like anyone tracking me.... It was found by some free program I had installed. SB or maybe Avast.

Many of those add-on things are painted with one coat of lacquer. Fast, cheap and doesn't need a primer on metal. Silver/metalic paints don't hold up as well as solid colors because of the clear coat. They just can't put enough UV inhibitors in them. And they break down faster. My suggestion would be to clean them up with a green scrubbie, apply a coat of "Rust Reformer" by Rustoleum. and re-spray them with two or three coats. I've used RR on many rusty things and it's great stuff. It changes the iron oxide (rust) to a very hard, durable material. Even a picnic table I did with it has not ru
  21. You might also want to try an additive like STP. I saw a late model stock car's engine saved by the stuff. He punctured his oil pan in a race, finished the last 3/4 of a lap to a win. When they pulled the engine down it had a nice slick coating on all the bearings, no damage. When I bought a used Brush Hog for my tractor, I checked the gear case and found it lacking in gear lube. Since I was out in the "boonies" for a long weekend, I added some of that Teflon "Motor Coat" to the case. What a difference in the after-spin of the blades when it was disengaged. It seemed like it would spin forever
  22. Heh heh heh.... Anyone notice the beer bottles look full? Hummmm
  23. Mmmm, that does look good. We're going to the Chinese buffet for dinner tonite. SB likes to try and eat his weight in shrimp. Love this man... he gets mine and his money's worth at an all-U-can eat buffet.
  24. That's really sad, I never feed wet food to my doggies, but the cats get a little can shared over the week. I find that dry food keeps their teeth in better condition. And nice big "butcher shop" bones. When I lost my Punky, at two weeks shy of 17 years old, she had all her teeth in fine shape. I hope we don't lose to many loving pets to this problem. They're like family to most folks.
  25. >> >> An old prospector walks his tired old mule into a western town one day. He'd been out in the desert for about six months without a drop of whiskey. He walked up to the first saloon he came to and tied his old mule to the hitch rail. >> >> As he stood there brushing some of the dust from his face and clothes, a gunslinger walked out of the saloon with a gun in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other. The gunslinger looked at the old man and laughed, saying, "Hey old man, have you ever danced?" >> >> The old man looked up at the gunslinger an
