Hi dk, First off, you don't have HJT in a Permanent folder. Click My Computer, then C:\ In the menu bar, File->New->Folder. That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there, and double click to run it. Well, why would you want to put a folder there? Why not in My Documents or in C:\The Folder You Want to Make\? I would think that to put it one of those places makes more sense then to put it in the Windows folder. It might cause a problem but I'm not sure nor would I risk it. I just don't think it's a good idea. Try either my documents or create a on folder on the C:\. B
