  1. Does it happen when you go to check something out? Like if you put it in the shopping cart and you're going to buy it? If so it's just letting you know that it's an encrypted page. Which is a good thing. Might want to also reset your security settings for IE. Tools Internet Options Security Tab Click Default Level Apply/Ok See what that can do. It's basically just letting you know the page is encrypted. B
  2. Hi and Welcome, You might want to print this out so you can follow the directions better. First off, you don't have HJT in a Permanent folder. Click My Computer, then C:\ In the menu bar, File->New->Folder. That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there, and double click to run it. This will allow backups to be made and saved By hijackthis in case something goes wrong Follow this link http://www.netstar.me.uk/hjt/hjt.html if you need help. Next, close all windows except HijackThis
  3. Ok, does this happen on my site? Or sites like news.com, etc? If it does then I am thinking it has to do with your security levels. Now, from what I can tell it's an ssl security box. Which is letting you know that the site has encryption, but the certificate happens to be 'self-signed' which is why IE is alerting you. Also, could you list maybe one or two sites this happens to you at? Thanks. B
  4. What's the site that it happens with? Is there a certian one? Or every site? B

  14. Hi Matt, It's a great idea, but before I open a forum like that I want to make sure I have members who know programming. This is because if I open a forum, and no one knows the topic it doesn't make sense to have, because the questions can't get answered. Now, I'm sure we have a few programmers on this forum, as we have many smart and talented members here. So if I see that there is enough members who know it then I will open a forum for programming. For me to figure this out if I could get people to make a small post here saying that they can help with programming questions I will create

    My Sig

Hi, I'm sorry, but no you can't. I have had many members get very upset by these types of sigs. Even though they don't show people your IP, and they only allow you to see it. So if you could please remove it I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks. Have a great day. B
