Those el-cheapo paper painter masks will not protect you from anything airborne. I can attest to this from all the times I have used them when spray painting. Many times I have been wiped out from paint fumes using them. I used to find it amusing getting a buzz from epoxies until I discovered how much damage could be done to my body. Surgical masks are better designed for preventing germs from being inhaled or exhaled.

I just get off my butt and find another job. I don't mind taking any type of work as long as I can put money in my pocket to live on. Many times I have taken on two to three different jobs a week to earn what I need. At times I have worked 16+ hours a day for 7 days a week. At one stretch I went 12 years without taking a day off. I also learned never to live above my means. If I can't pay cash for what I want then I go without. It helps that I am mechanically inclined, love doing hard labor and don't mind working outdoors in all types of weather.

I have never disabled protection when updating SpywareBlaster or any other program, especially the firewall unless I disconnect from the Internet. I would suggest shutting down some programs protection that guard against registry changes such as S&D's Tea Timer. Check your free space on the hard drive. Maintain at least 25% for the OS partition. Run Disk Cleanup and Defrag in Safe Mode.
