OE6 works fine for me in the retrieval of my ISP email accounts. I use it for forums and friends. It is simple and straight forward. For other purposes I use Gmail and Hotmail.

Spybot S&D and AdAware will not detect all malware. In fact I quit using them some time ago. You should have a good anti-virus program installed. Another good program to detect and remove malware is MBAM.
