  1. Is it an AVI file? If so something here should work. Cannot delete avi file. What they say is that WinXP tries to preview the file therefore it is considered in use.
  2. If this is WinXP are you trying this logged in as admin?
  3. Which occurs first? The blinding flash or the bite from amperage discharged when you're stupid enough to stick a screwdriver where it doesn't belong working on your TV.
  4. Is it in the Temp or Temporary Internet File folders?
  5. As for the first if you are using MSN Messenger 6.1 than the update is needed. The .exe files are by language so if you want English the update starts with EN. EN\SetupDL.exe I don't recommend anyone using MSN Messenger or any other IM program for they all have issues dealing with security. In fact I uninstall MSN Messenger thereby closing the security risk. If you enjoy using IM try Trillian even though they just discovered a buffer overflow problem with it. Regarding the second update all it does is stop the file with ~ under it from being placed on your desktop due to a change in the addr
  6. Have you tried the default magic word: sfyklg? Did you setup fill in the Forgotten Password Replacement Form and have you tried that? Manual FAQ
  7. Panda Titanium with True Prevent handles most of it. For the popups I just use the Goolge toolbar and my ISP uses Brightmail for taking care of the spam.

  10. DNS has been enabled. After a few irate emails to Panda and one reply I've determined it is a problem with the programming of the firewall. I also had to inform them that it detects SpywareBlaster's list as the actual adware/spyware then disables SpywareBlaster's protection. They must have hired a few of Microsoft's former programmers.
  11. Panda Titanium 2005 Anti-Virus has a new firewall built into it. The software for my DSL service (Tango Manager) keeps popping a box up that warns me it cannot find the DNS. Some of Alltel's techs actually know something about the service beyond reading the script. My damn luck I keep getting the one chick that only knows the script. Arrrrgh!!!! The following is a list of the services shown in the firewall. Could one of these be a reason that the DNS probe is not being let through by not being configured to allow it? TCP/IP Arp Command TCP/IP Netstat Command TCP/IP Ping Command TCP/IP Route C
  12. More weird facts. Butterflies taste with their feet. A duck's quack doesn't echo, and no one knows why. In 10 minutes, a hurricane releases more energy than all of the world's nuclear weapons combined. On average, 100 people choke to death on ball-point pens every year. On average people fear spiders more than they do death. Ninety percent of New York City cabbies are recently arrived immigrants. Thirty-five percent of the people who use personal ads for dating are already married. Elephants are the only animals that can't jump. Only one person in two billion will live to be 116 or ol
  13. Have you tried disabling security on the wireless setup. Maybe you have an encryption problem.

  20. Re-register the defragmenters snap-in files, and the basic registry entries. First open up a Command Prompt, this can be found at: Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt Change into your windows\system32 directory. Your windows directory will be either windows or winnt. Type: cd \windows\system32 Register the defrag components, by typing: [regsvr32 dfrgsnap.dll [regsvr32 dfrgui.dll At this stage, you may find the defragmenter works. If not, there is one more step you can do. Using Windows Explorer browse to your windows\inf folder. In there you will
