Unable to connect to 72.20.28.246

The only thing I have is my DSL router which I haven't set to block certain ports and my firewall which just asked for permission on this try. I'm thinking it's an isssue with Avant. I'm messing with that now. [Edit] I just tried it in IE and I got the Java sig and a different acceptance window but the same error after.

I uninstalled Java then re-installed. I then tested it at their site and it worked fine. Java is enabled inbound and outbound in my firewall. I have also placed chat in Trusted Sites and set security low. Java is enabled for IE within the Java control app and in the browser. I still get the same result. I even tried Trillian.

I accepted the certificate. My firewall didn't alert.

I'm running J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 freshly updated. No other errors.

That is exactlly what I just exorcised was a Gateway RENTWAY GP STEP 950C-R that originally came with WinME. The owner's cousin slapped XP over ME and messed up the install. Compound that with not understanding securing the PC and it was easy for the Devil to take control.

I'm somewhat back after a 31 hour session cleaning some very nasty viruses and a rogue program off of a customers WinXP PC. It almost seems like I have to retrain myself on using my own PC again after that mess. With all of todays programs to help ridding this mess I had to revert to the old ways using the command line to remove them. It was a good refresher but tedious. I still can't believe people think WinXP is better than 98SE.

Kim Simmonds with past and present members of his group Savoy Brown. NASCAR drivers Jimmy Spencer, Mike Mclaughlin and a**hole Geoff Bodine from my days being involved with racing NASCAR big block modifieds in the '70s. I met August Busch III when I was working as a Steam Fitter at his brewery in Lysander, NY. Auggie is laid back and cool to talk with. The guy that invented Nestles' instant soups. I can't remember his name but he rented an apartment above my friend's. We woke him one night with loud music while we were stoned. He walked into my friend's apartment and adjusted the bass on the s

The sun has been playing hide and seek here. The snow is melting very nicely with the weather staying 45/25F. They're calling for 50F next week with some rain possible. It'll be strange to have most of the snow gone this early. I'm liking that. In fact I plan on taking a shovel to the snow banks and spreading it to increase it's demise.

This is down the street from me in March last year. The snow banks are 12' high. The total snowfall for January alone was 100" then in March we got hit with 84" in 7 days.

If they're asking you to remove Microsoft's anti-spyware program then there must be a possibility of false positives which may be those "other" hits you found. To fully test it someone would need to setup up two similar PCs and visit the same websites then scan to see if either or picks up different malware programs to determine if one is better than the other.

Shall I send a couple of tin cans and a loooong roll of string for backup?! -
Fulton, NY. Right in the main lake effect corridor. All the Great Lakes combine with the Canadian cold fronts to slam us. Then of course when the Northeasters turn back and collide with the lake effect we get double slammed. At least I'm not a few miles further north on the Tug Hill where they can get 300"+. This year we were lucky and only received about 184" so far. Many times we have snow piles hanging out until August. It probably wouldn't be so bad but with 3 nuke plants located 9 miles north of here the lake doesn't freeze over so the storms can pick up plenty of moisture to create wet h

You can all join me at the southeast corner of Lake Ontario. 200"+ of snowfall is the norm. Last year we got 7 feet in 7 days. Just another plain old winter. Shovel and swear! Today it finally warmed up so I pulled all the plastic off the windows and put up the blinds and curtains. Tomorrow they're calling for more of that lovely snow.

Hey TK, if all those sites you can't get on are in the U.S. maybe our Homeland Insecurity is taking vengeance on you crazy Canadians! -
The best idea is to steer clear of the TSS board (soon to be Attack of the Show board). TechSupport is the only board still off limits to the foolishness. There are a couple of posters there that have been warned about the nonsense. Pete, mlegg and Chappy have their hands full some times. Of course there shall be trolls now and then when you have that many members.

Sadly the show's new name is factual. On the bright side the name The ScreenSavers is no longer maligned with the mindless drivel the show has succumbed to. I think back to the 60s and 70s when I was part of a era that actually watched inane trash programming while in an altered state. This show and the generation that produced what it has become must be caused by corrupted genes due to my generation's abuses. I fear what direction our future progeny shall demoralize into. With myopic thinking show hosts/producers such as "CaptImmy" the show shall continue upon it's downward spiral into a moro

If you still want Google to use Bookmark it and download the DragToTab extension. When you need to use it open your bookmarks and drag Google to Open a new tab. This is my second day using it and I'm finding many shortcuts and uses within the browser. I have to thank CurlingSteve for some of the tips and feeding me enough info to play with Firefox. Now if I could just figure how to combine the bottom toolbar with the middle one I'd be happy.

I had no problems with it except for the damn thing using system resources. Do a Ctrl-Alt-Del and you'll see it there also. If you have a good anti-virus program and set Outlook Express to read plain text only in Read options you could uncheck the update from Startup. It's user preference. I don't allow html in my emails. -

Can you rename the .wmv file to something short then do the same with the text file?
