Hell, I haven't even received an email about who actually banned me, for what reason or for how long (as though I couldn't guess).

If something is loose it could stop it from booting. You may still get partial power to the board.

At these boards we try to fix the problem and not reply with use another browser instead. murtu52 Post back once you have tried the items linked by tg1911.

Open it up and make sure all of the connections are OK and that the motherboard didn't move thereby creating a short.

I have had your post here in my sig since you posted it and they haven't said a damn thing to me. I even got into a flame fest with prophet7 and acrifolium. They backed away. Social and OT is combined and going at each other tooth and nail. We've got a bunch of wierdos from the CFH Canada forum mixed in with the old Tech Support people and that's going over like a rock. G$ has cut their own throat this time.

Must be the rumor is true that CFH is being brought back to G$TV. From what I just read this may be world wide. Oh joy, the pervert Leo is back.

prophet7 was over there spouting off on how it's all a clerical error and Tech Support was never going to be removed just renamed or merged with maybe AotS. He quoted some bull and when I asked who the quote is attributed to the thread got deleted. It seems strange he's the only one with this knowledge.

Well Chappy at least we will feel more at home here. Those of us from TechTV were always considered unwanted guests at G$. MissFae seems to love that hell hole.

I always defrag Win98 in Safe Mode after a fresh install. Once that has been done I get all the updates downloaded and defrag again. That behavior is usually caused because Win98 needs to finish off the installation of files when it is fresh. It may even do it a few more times. When it happens just boot to Safe Mode so it can complete it's task. You will even notice this occurring when you install a bunch of programs. Remember to reboot into Safe Mode and defrag after installing programs. Win98 fragments easily. I just refreshed my install a month ago and my PC will do the same now and then.

I don't see what is so expensive about paying $100.00 for XP Pro OEM. Most people have far more invested in hardware that becomes obsolete in a couple of years yet they can keep using XP for as long as they want. I paid more than that for 98SE when it first came out and I am still using it 7 years later. It actually costs less for the OS than decent anti-virus programs every year. People who pirate it should stop their whining.

There are many items in a home that kids can use for huffing. Dust Off has had warning labels about the dangers of using this product as an inhalant well before this incident. Parents should look at any can of aerosol within their homes. I had a former nephew-in-law that abused butane. He would steal everyone's Bic lighters to get his kicks.
