Got down to 32 outside early morning. But no snow!!! It did frost. The roof has a layer on it. But blue skys outside now. Now to see what plants never made it. Wish I was in your shoes TT. I have about 2/3s of my supply of wood in. And I'm not even close to start winterizing anything around here. Better start on the winter check list and figure out what needs to get done.

BUT NOT THIS EARLY Been covering plants and bringing in a mess load of planters. They are calling for F R O S T also tonight. Tomatos are half ripe. Hope they are covered good enough. But, I have the woodburner going and it's getting nice in the house. WOW I'm not even ready for this.....

Check to see if there is anything blocking the fan. Is the fan running? Check to see if the fan needs cleaning.

I think allot of people are waiting for Vista's SP1 to come out before making the switch. Like XPs SP2. It basically changed the whole XP experience. SP1 for XP was just major glitch fixes, it was SP2 that made XP what it is today. Thats what SP1 is supposed to be for Vista. As for which graphics card to suggest..... That opens up a big can of worms... LOL But I'll let others argue over which one is better. Myself, I like nvidia cards. But there are those who will push ati... But for now the newer and better cards are mostly PCI Express. Which are good setups.

Have you tried to reboot your PC. Sometimes a small glitch will clear itself on a reboot.

Morning BenR I would suggest a higher-end graphics card. If your client is going to be doing a lot of rendering, so one with a larger amount of RAM. I don't know what they have in mind for their work with Poser 7. But a card with 256 or, even better if you can find one with 512 if your into higher-end rendering. Other then what has been suggested, the graphic card will make the difference they'll need. And the higher-end graphic cards could take half the money their willing to spend. I agree with shanenin on the AMD driver updates and optimizer. Also with a new processor I would make sure to check on updated drivers for all your other Hardware.

It might be a bad power switch. I have seen that before. Drop the wires and shunt across the two pins and see if it starts.

Could you just install a Software Firewall to keep yourself safe, and just turn off WEP when you are using your Laptop.

I use this program. Unlocker 1.8.5, Unlocker It works to shut off those running processes and let you delete the folders and files. Works like a charm for me.

DO NOT USE THE WINDOWS GENUINE ADVANTAGE SERVICE And if you download software that needs to check M$'s Windows Genuine Advantage. It will de-activate your legit copy. This affects both XP and Vista. M$ says they should have the problem fixed by Tuesday. You can run a newly installed OS for 30 days, Just put off untill after Tuesday.
