  1. I mailed it in 3 weeks ago. Could not be easier. The U.S. has to do something about the arcane system that most states still use. It's way too complicated for most part time semi competant election officials to grasp. Early voting in approx 30 states and mail in voting is a good first step though. Four hours in line should not be acceptable anymore. I live about a mile from the Biltmore, where McCain gave his concession speak. I'm very happy with the election results. (although there have been some very embarrasing right wing local victories here in AZ)
  2. I'm saving that Wiki. Great resource! Thanks Bobby.
  3. I get more solar exposure than I want or need. Now if only we can harness it and use it for energy! Arizona......(too damn hot!)
  4. "WHO IS that teensy percentage? Kids with access to mommy and daddy's credit cards? First time computer owners?" Probably Horny old men?
  5. All Fired Up (a Local Barre, VT Bistro that recently burned to the ground a couple weeks or so ago) Brian Brick Oven The place burned down? That's a shame! Radiant heat
  6. OK, that makes sense. I didn't think about that. Serves me right for never paying attention to junk mail. I'm still wondering though: Who would actually open this email crap? Or worse yet, actually BUY something. Someone that realizes that the heading is skewed and the ad is manipulated to get around the spam filters , but hopes to reap the benifits of cheap questionable drugs anyway? Or someone that is too stupid to even see the problem? I DO understand the insidious natare of spam. I realize that spammers are content with a very small percentage of return. But they have to have SOME demograp
  7. Manga! Pizza! Buon Appetito Now I'm getting: HUNGRY!
  8. We all hate spam. It's evil, vile, intrusive, and annoying. Like most tech savvy geek types, especially those on the best tech savvy geek site on the web, Besttechie, I have a multitude of specific email addresses. I use one of them to do things like online purchasing and web registrations. Naturally this address is the one that gets the most junk mail spam. I usually do a swift delete on the hundreds of junk mail contents perodically. Today however, just as I was about to press the delete button this caught my eye: Won tim Big Discount: Xamax, Ambienv, Valiun, Viagrav, Phamtermin37.5mg Yeah,
  9. Tough one... I turned to Google images after coming up blank and on page two I found: ... Restaurants... specifically "Caracas Restaurant Tips by carolinaEspada" about Caracas, Venezuala. I especially like the piece "PABELLON CON BARANDA by naive local artist... " Interesting find, Bobby. I enjoy reading about other cultures, especially their food! Trattoria
  10. Oops......sorry I missed it. I've been out of the loop lately. Hope you had a good BDay! Joe
  11. Today is the 2000th day since bush announced "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq! ......Time flies when you're having fun.
  12. "Routine means, in this case taking it further. To the grand jury with the information collected by the investigation. "It's routine to take it to a grand jury." That's not the gist of what I read, but I could be wrong. "And was it really a "life for a TV?" Perhaps, "a life for a father/husband/sons life"?" Again, I didn't see that as part of the story. "Crime has gone down in states that allow concealed carry permits." Concealed weapons are not the isuue here. The gun was in the man's house. However I disagree with your assumption. I live in Phoenix. Every other yahoo on the street has a co
  13. I can see multitudes of lawsuits stemming from this. Edit: If anyone in my area knows of any idiot that is incorrectly advertising a gas price, please let me know. I'll definately stock up. Then let them come after me. I haven't enjoyed a good legal battle in some time! I need something to do.
  14. You heat with wood Bobby? I used to do that when I lived in Connecticut. Oh how I remember splitting and stacking those cords of wood! I had a number of wood stoves over the years.
  15. Well it seems like the votes are in on this. It's still a sad story however. Life for a TV. I'm not saying that I blame the homeowner. Who knows how you would react in a situation like that. The link to the Star- Telegram claims that the homeowner used a 9mm handgun, not a shotgun. I do have a problem with the quote from the Star- Telegram: "Beaudreault said the case will be referred to the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, and prosecutors will show the information to a grand jury. Beaudreault called that procedure routine. He indicated the man probably won't be indicted by the grand
  16. Marty. Yes I definately remember Bill. Do you know what has happened to him? Let me know. Joe
  17. Well the relief from the heat lasted exactly three days. It's October 17th and the high was 94 deg F today. I finally gave up, closed all the windows and just turned the AC back on. The house is 80 deg F and it's 3AM! We need to build a retractable roof over the whole southern part of the state. .....Yeah I know....we don't have global warming.
  18. Hi Marty, Nice to see you again. Take care, my friend. Hey Sultan. I just noticed something here. Is my cat somehow related to your cat? Other than the size, (and the fangs) they look similar. Joe
  19. That's an interesting word Bobby! Thanks for increasing my: Vocabulary
  20. Wait a minute here. The gas station went after the customers with a threat of a theft charge because the gas station was too stupid to know they had an incorrect price quoted? What's wrong with this picture?
