Then and Now: A Trick or Treat comparison. When I was a kid back in New York ca. 1960's, my younger sister and I would break records as far as candy collection goes. God help the neighbors if Halloween fell on a weekend! We would start going door to door in our costumes around 8 AM!.... Even if it fell on a weekday, we would start right after school. At the end of the night we'd have enough candy to open up a small confectionery shop. I'm serious! Coming home with 30 pounds of sweets was not unusual. We hit all the houses within our immediate area, probably one square mile.. I'd say that 99%

For Or Against Norton Internet Security 2009
irregularjoe replied to wonderent's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Not sure about the latest release, but Norton in the past has always meant BLOATWARE. Huge, fat, cpu intensive, SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. Even if they finally did fix it, why reward them? There is so much freeware that is better. Just my opinion. -
I already said he got "a large majority" of the electoral votes (67.84% to put it another way). I understand how the electoral college works and how that determines who wins, so the only relevance of bringing up another election's results would be to unnecessarily point out that the popular vote does not determine the winner. And thank goodness the popular vote DOES NOT determine the winner: The population of just a few of the largest cities could negate almost everyone else's votes. You are right JDoors. I wasn't quibbling. The number of state electors will no doubt be reconfigured before

365 vs. 173 = Landslide Popular vote doesn't matter. Remember 2000? Florida? Gore /Bush? Gore won the popular vote but Bush was appointed anyway.

Marty: I didn't realize that about New Zealand. I definately need to learn more about your national history. Hopefully you can help me with the details? Thanks, Joe

Maybe all the US Republicans that are soon to be out of a job moved to New Zealand to set up shop? Just a thought.

OK. I know the election is over. But this is too funny to pass up. (Hint: Before you play the game, there are some shopping announcements with music. It takes a few minutes.) A "Gotcha, You Betcha" Shopping Spree

Marty: That is about as base, hateful, ignorant, racist, wrong, stupid, prejudist, hurtful, harmful. (I can go on but I think you get the gist of it) as anything I have seen in a LONG time. When I was a child my family took a trip to Florida. 1960. I was six. While passing through the south I witnessed first hand the "White Only" signs at places that we stopped along the way. Restauarants, bathrooms at gas stations, etc. Although only being six years old, I knew that something was very wrong with that. I asked my parents about it. They said what most parents probably said in those days: "that'

Reading one of the above entries reminds me that it's going to take some time for the "anti socialists" to come to grips with reality. The socialist label might have worked for some during the lie and hate spewing republican campaign, but let's come back down to planet earth. Mr. Obama is not a socialist. He is slightly left of center, if that. The country has swung so far to the right in the past 25 years that the common perspective of left and right has become skewed. Honda Boy: I'm sorry that you were not able to vote. What state do you live in? Do you have mail in voting yet? Unfortunate
