  1. Maybe Sony is of the opinion that any publicity is good, even when it is bad news against them? Or they just don't get it...yeah that's probably it. Here is the original whistle blower's blog site. You can scroll all the way down to how he discovered all this nasty Sony garbage. Mark's Sysinternals blog Some poor unsuspecting people are going to have new Sony cd garbage given to them for Christmas infecting their computers and they wont even know it. Actually I bet most people don't even know it now. It has only been mentioned slightly in one newspaper article here, and I haven't seen anythin
  2. That is so cute!!! Thanks! Hubby and I chuckled over the child's eye view of things. Pat. God bless everyone.
  3. Happy Birthday Sped, May you be blessed with a long life filled with good health, happiness, and prosperity. Pat. God bless everyone.
  4. 'cuz I did one of my absent minded senior moment things again. Forgot to copy and paste the new page I had up, so when I did the link here it used the last one I had done which was over on G4....ooooops!!! Try it now and see if it actually goes to the review of the miniseries. I'm to chicken...ha! I think it works right now. Pat. God bless everyone.
  5. This sounds like it could be fun to watch. Review was in our Sunday Oregonian Tv section. Close Encounters of the thrilling kind....wierdness reigns! Oooops I forgot to copy/paste the new Oregonian review page for link. Sorry about that!!! This one should work right, I hope!!! Pat God bless everyone.
  6. Hot apple pie topped with ice cream, and topped off with a nice hot cinnamon syrup drizzled all over it.....ahhhhhhh!!! Just what I wanted tonight. Thank You so much bozodog. It's yummy!!! Mac, I am so glad to see a dedicated apple nook for us to exchange recipes on apples, especially those yummy desserts. I support you totally Mac, for this new section. Pat. God bless everyone.
  7. I love that one!!! The person at humane society who thought to do an ad that way should get a bonus or raise!!! God bless everyone.
  8. Chappy I am so glad your niece didn't get snatched. So scary that our kids can't even be safe in a public place like that. But thankfully this time there were people who ran to her rescue when she screamed. Unfortunately not everyone pays attention to kids screaming. I caution the neighborhood kids against overdoing the screams, warning them that after awhile I get tired of getting up to look out to make sure they are ok and just playing. But even after telling them to cool the screams unless needing help, I still try to check on them because it only takes a minute for someone to grab them int
  9. Thanks Liz for the hug, and Mac for the fuzzy fur hat. But I think I'll shake some flea powder in it just to make sure no critters are left over from the previous owner. Mac, if that teacher had done that to me when I had a ear infection, I probably would have punched her hard. Ouch...makes me cringe just thinking of a sore ear being pulled on. Oooouuuuch!!!! I do feel better today, not as headachy, ears better too (barometric pressure back up high again which helped, but still kind of foggy headed (worse than usual ) from it all. I don't usually get such bad headaches but oh my when I do
  10. I wept for joy when I saw TK's post that night, but didn't have time to answer it then, and then found it closed when I came back the next day. I asked Chappy if he would reopen this thread so that I could add one post to it to say a couple of things for the record on this public thread, then of course TK we can continue to PM (when I get mine cleared out a bit so not hitting the maximum 30 level.) Thanks so much Chappy for granting me this favor! I just wanted to clarify to TK and to anyone else reading the thread, that I only threw him a Lifeline to Jesus, that TK decided to reach out for
  11. Thankfully the snow storm turned into a nonevent for us in Portland, though both Wa and Or coastal mountains, foothills and mountains to the Cascades in both states, and Eastern Or and Wa, and up I guess clear up I5 to Seattle area etc all got it. The mountains got a lot so the ski resorts are happy. Anyhow the storm low off the coast, went through the Southern part of Or and Northern part of Ca, so being that far south the winds didn't kick up in the Columbia Gorge so that didn't bring our temps down enough for snow. I stayed up last night for the 11pm news, one channel said no snow, one sa
  12. Wow Liz, That was great!!!! Congratulations. You need to give up the newbie label, and admit you can do more advanced stuff!!! Now on to our local wacky weather forecast which is always tricky with a possible snow event for us, or just plain wierd as Ch8's Matt Zaffino (sp?) said tonight. Anyhow depending on where the storm comes in off the Pacific, and how cold it is, and how much cold funnels down wind tunnel of the Columbia Gorge from east to west to us, and how high up we are in elevation, then we could get several inches of snow with 35 to 60 mph winds depending on closeness to the mouth
  13. Hi Mac, Isn't Colorado in Qwest territory? If so, then perhaps you could get in on their current promotions for a year. as low as 19.99 with qualifying package, or 24.99 without it. There's another offer too, for higher speed. (There are extra fees and probably taxes too I read someplace). Qwest DSL I still haven't made up my mind to do it, have dialup now. Don't know if I am smart enough to be safe on it, or even to get it working right. Sigh! Anyhow here is the DSL Reports reviews, when I read them a couple of months ago, there were some thingys...modems/routers....whatever that were proble
  14. Please leave our "security blanket" up, just in case something happens that we need it again. Then we would have a safe place already set up to run to. Besides that is only place we know for that fun easy to use moving text gizmo!!!! So when we want to play, it will be there. Besides I just love all your comments of what each section is about!!! Cheers me up and makes me laugh every time I am there. So that is valuable right there! And some, who shall remain annonymous but you know who you are, go play over there when no one is looking with all the leftover lab stuff from your basement Ma
  15. Thank You for that link. I added it to my favorites... for just in case...!!! Also there was someone on G4 having this same problem in last few days. So will try to track the thread down, and pass your link on for them too. I had never heard of or seen that error so couldn't help much when I saw the thread there. Pat. God bless everyone.
  16. Welcome to our board family the best one around, pull up a chair at the cafe for a soft drink, piece of pie or even a full meal, then jump in on any thread that interests you. The more the merrier. Pat. God bless everyone.

  19. TK, I am so glad you are ok, and that you made that leap of Faith. Praise God!!! I was just the messenger that gave you the Good News you yearned for, my friend! As for owing any debts to me, no way. Just pass that info on to other hurting people. That is what we are supposed to do in this life, just tell others the Good News!!! Now if you need any more info just PM me. OK? Take care my friend. We are still praying for you and your family too. Pat. God bless everyone.

  22. Oh if hubby had quit all the times he got steamed at something that happened over the years it would look terrible on a resume. But he held tight, sometimes switching departments to get away from problems, changed jobs a few times to better ones or for better pay and benefits, but most of those times it was when invited to go to new company (or subcontracted to old one when that switch happened), only off work due to slowdown in work once but ended up with temp work in another department until he could get back to regular job and department. Worst was a year layoff before he went to work for c
  23. Happy Birthday Daygo, May you be blessed with a long life filled with good health, happiness, and prosperity. Pat. God bless everyone.
