wow.....thats harsh for you guys. On the west coast (near the beach and LA) its decent weather. It rains every so often, but i'm not complaining; right now it looks quite pleasant. But, never fear, it'll soon turn to the dreadful summer time....even though i have vacation, who wants to go outside in 90+ degree weather?

Having Some Really Freaky Internet Problems!
murtu52 replied to TymeKyller's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Well, sorry Tyme, it seems that my hunch was off. I'd suggest you ask people in the area with the same connection and ask if they are having any problems.....if not, threaten ur ISP for cheaper prices and internet that actually works! -

My friend has recently been attacked with many malware programs and viruses. I asked him to run A squared, which he was attempting to, and I also told him to run HijackThis, just to see whats on his computer. I am not yet perfect in my log analyzation, and his computer is in a really bad condition, so here you go, experts: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 9:16:24 AM, on 3/20/2005 Platform: Windows XP SP1 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP1 (6.00.2800.1106) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.ex

Well, i think i know what this COULD be...please download and run hijackthis from here and post your log in the hijackthis board...You default searchhook could be messed up due to some malware, but this is just a hunch. Hope this will help you.... -
I, Robot (those little nanytes that were used to shut down the main computer....forgot the name, though...)

Really? you can change the code? i thought that it is locked; some of them work with all the codes, some switch around a few times, then they stayed locked in the last code it used, and others were just plain locked. I have download many animes, none of them on DVD of course, but i've never had to fiddle around with it....

yes, i remember hearing the DVDs are coded for regions in the world, and you have to have the right player to play the dvd....i'm not sure if it applies to song cds.
-
I believe so, but i'd check with a more experience person in this field....i'm not an expert in these kind of things....
-
yes, thats true....you might want to try older copying programs, because those tend to disregard the copyprotection (heard this from a friend, he told me it works). Also, instead of making a backup, you could always make an .iso image out of the cd and set up a virtual drive on your computer (basically playing the cd off of your harddrive), and save the original disc so it doesn't mess up.

Heh, my father says the same thing, even though he expects straight As from me, he always wants me to be the best in english. My vocab isn't bad, but others here obviously put me to shame.... Manga (Japanese comic)

You are quite true, TheTerrorist_75, at least the name TSS won't be related to the type of show it is now....
-
yeah, that is why i left....whats the point of flaming? why would we care about what petty arguments you have....if you are on a tech board, talk about tech, not stupid things....
-
Soccer....Did i spell it properly?
-
Yeah, TSS has shifted away from tech since the merger, however i can never forget what TSS and CFH taught me pertaining to computers and technology. No matter where it goes, it won't change the past.... I kinda drifted away from those boards a couple months ago, and remember Besttechie from the days before the merger....i heard there was also a forum...i guess the Besttechie community is the remains of other communities..... TSS boards were nice, though....many people dedicated to helping people....
