  1. Thanks everyone, glad you like it. However, I didn't make it. Our very own Leprechaun did. B
  2. Happy birthday man!!!! *Besttechie has to get you something... maybe blink related? B
  3. Hi baker7, While this is a very well formatted and thought out tutorial I'm afraid I can't add it to the BT KB. The reason I'm not adding it is because it makes a very simple task very complex. If you wish to re-write it explaining how to use the Import/Export feature that would be fine. Remember the articles/tutorials don't have to be complex so long as they are easy to read, do what they're supposed to do, and explain whatever they're talking about well. B
  4. Can you please go to Add/Remove Programs which is located in the Control Panel and look for either P2PNetworks or MediaPipe P2P listed. If you find either of those listed in Add/Remove please uninstall it, reboot and post a new HJT Log. B
  5. I wrote a little review of Vista (Ultimate) myself from my own experience with it. Read here: http://www.besttechie.net/2007/02/06/windo...ltimate-review/ As you can tell overall I'm quite happy with it. I don't game much if at all really so there is no mention of performance compared to XP gaming wise. So go read it! Comment too if you would like. B
  6. Good to know. Now if only that arrangement can be reached, I'd be very happy. B
  7. Hi Scaryt5, Alright, so you're trying to install Norton and when you double click the installer what happens? Detailed explanation in the problem will be helpful in fixing it. In HJT (HijackThis) please tick the following lines and have it fix them (make sure all explorer windows are closed while doing so) R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {00A6FAF6-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00A6FAF1-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {07B18EA1-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {BA2325ED-F9EB-4830-8FCE-0BC35B16969B}

  9. Hey, first off the link doesn't work. So you should post it again. Second there was an article in the NY Times yesterday about how Motorola is losing a lot of money on the razr and that it's not really as popular as it used to be due to the fact everyone and their grandma has one. I like mine, it works, its slim and fits in my pocket, the type pad is a bit flimsy feeling but it works as well. I might wait a little bit and see if Motorola comes out with something new as they really need a new product to replace the razr sometime soon. I don't really have a good suggestion at the moment as t
  10. Hi Everyone, In case you were wondering where the Google ads came from I've added the Google Ads to our forums. However to be fair and since I'm not a huge fan of ads myself, you only see the ads if you're a guest. So once you register or login to the forums they're gone. I think that's quite fair. If you have any questions or comments please post them here. B
  11. Btw, I moved the new feature to the bottom of the page. B

  13. Search Engine Friendly URL's are now back in place. After the forum upgrade I had to wait for a new version of this modification to come out. It's now implemented once again. B
  14. I'll post this here as well: You're probably better off buying the OEM version of Vista Ultimate for $200 at Newegg. 1. You can reinstall it as many times on the same machine as you want. 2. It doesn't require a previous OS to be installed. 3. It won't make your XP key invalid like the upgrade versions do. More info here That's what I did (after consulting with Pierce and therock247uk), of course you don't get support but that's why you have us. B

  16. Due to not being able to schedule a time for the HDD to be replaced - the host has postponed the downtime. The downtime will most likely happen in two weeks from now. When I get a more definite time frame I will let you know. B
