I had the cpu off of a HP zv5000. It had thermal compound grease. Reapplied a dab good to go until the power plug died, replaced the mobo (thanks to ebay) another dab of grease and off we went, up and running again. It also had the 4 spring loaded screws. I counted the turns until it bottomed out then when I replaced the cpu I bottomed the screw then backed off X turns. When I replaced the mobo i just kinda went by feel, gut feeling. M

I replaced 2 psu on the same emachine within 6 months. Customer thought I was trying get over on her, brought it to a different shop and replaced psu third time. I spoke with her in the supermarket and advised if it happened again to get a new machine. M

Hey folks I just wanted to put a bug in your brain. MDA raises money throughout the year, it is not just for the Labor Day Telethon. They are making it easier to reach friends and family who are out of town or out of state so they can help raise money. I have a link to a page I set up for an event we have in Feb. OEM Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm 80 gig SATA. Model# ST380819AS Serial# 5MR4YA8W This drive came out of the Dell I am reinstalling the OS on. Owner had to send machine back to Dell in March of '06. She was upset with them so to be the mean cajun woman she is she pulled the drive. Dell sent machine back with new HDD. I do not have SATA on my machine so I have no use for it. Here is my "Path" C:\Program Files\Motorola\Canopy\NetworkUpdater\_jvm\bin I installed this Network Updated and everything went to the crapper. Two fold question, Why did it happen, How do I fix it? This just started recently, since we first discussed it. M

Every time I install something it gets put to the beginning if the system variables path. Then all dos commands need to be typed with the path typed in, ie c:\windows\system32\xxxxx. What gives? I use telnet,ping, and ipconfig alot while working. Any ideas? M

Ok it has been forever since I touched html but.....heres the thing. Forum links are on the left and scroll bar is on the right. Could an option be set in the users control panel as to left or right scroll bar. Or left or right justified forum links? May be a windows thing with the scroll bar, google here I come. Just a thought, as I am bouncing from the left side of the screen to the right and back left.... M
