sry i was using vga as a video card. I can barely see the no signal box. The backlight on the LCD goes out. There is still something on the screen but its hard to see cause there is no backlight. My card is a RAdeon 9800 and I just placed a PCI fan under it so i doubt that it would be overheating. I dont think a Video card can turn off the backlight of a LCD

Im having a strange problem with my LCD backlight. It just randomly turns off and the only way to get it back on is to restart the computer. I tried unplugging both the power and the connection to my VGA and then replacing both but that didnt help and also lots of combinations of that. Also tried unplugging the power and connection to the VGA and only putting back the power. Normally a little blue box pops up saying there is no signal but all that happened is that the backlight went on for about 2 seconds and then turned off. Not too paranoid about sound. The case itself is a little noisy but my current heatsink sounds like a small portable vaccume cleaner. I did myself anyway...That isnt including having to replace parts. My original motherboard just died on me and I had to buy anther keyboard after I discovered my first cuts off when you hold down a key. My overall was 1200 + 300 for the monitor. Ok so it was a 1500 machine but close anyway.

I want to move to water cooling so I could experament a little with overclocking without making too much noise. Im not sure if im reading the specs right on it though but the radiator needs a 80 millimeter fan slot on the back right? Device Manager said everything was alright 0 Viruses I replaced the cable and am using a differnt slot on the board Ran the Diagnostic and everything turned out fine Normally this problem occurs when I am playing Counter strike or battlefield. Ill post again If i experiance it again.

Sometimes when im playing games Counter strike source and Bf2 i get framrate problems. Normally soon after that I freeze up and have to do a manual shut off. I was able to close Counter strike as soon as I noticed the slowdown and found that my CPU was at 100% with no processes really there using it all. I opened up event viewer and came across a bunch of errors. I took a screenshot. What does this mean?

Im having this really strange problem when I try to load firefox sometimes. After I press the button nothing happens. I opened up task manager and I can see its process sitting there not doing anything except taking up 22 megs of RAM or so. I have to end its process and re open firefox to get it to load. As of yet I dont see a pattern of when it happens. Just goes on randomly. I think this may be another glitch with 1.5

Try removing the RAM and see if valve games play right after that. Thats really strange. Is the ram the same brand?

I have a perfectly fine ripped copy of sims 2 and it works fine. No errors. When you ripped the game there should of been an option where it would crack the write protection. You just had to find the correct one to use. I havnt done it in a while but you could find a tutorial on how to do it properly online

Is the RAM detected correctly. Try reseating it. Also mabey resetting CMOS will help. It cant hurt. As for the password have you tried just getting in with a blank password? also try commen ones like user and default. Is this board new or used?
