Yes, I have to say the stuff they pulled over there has worked out well for me too. This place has a whole different feel, low stress, with a lot less chance of getting flamed or having your spelling corrected... I have been downloading TWIT and I noticed an issue with bittorrent. When the download completes, I just close the app out of reflex. Now that didn't seem fair for me not to seed for a while. So, I got to thinking about setting up my machine to seed at night. Is there a way to run bittorrent so that it is just seeding in the background. The scripting and the Cron job aren't an issue, I know that part. I am just a bittorrent noob. TIA, BH

Granted, it sounds weird. But if the Mods really don't want the trolls, it would be very easy to stop them. Just match the IP's using a script and you are finished. Even the number of troll posts getting locked seems to be going down. The benefit they get out of letting the trolls roll on is the total volume of the site. Since sites have to attain a critical mass of posting to make the forums interesting, it is an easy way to prop up the numbers. Maybe they need to prop up the numbers to justify the admins. Not looting, profiteering. Looting is petty crime, profiteering is evil. The way I see it, stopping looting is less of a priority when you need to save lives. After all, it is just stuff. Profiteering leads to much worse, If it goes on I see fire bombing and murder close behind. The Senators and governers are freaking out about it, as they should. People that are desperate will do whatever it takes to remove themselves from danger. BH

I have a conspiracy theory I would like to discuss. I have no evidence, but I haven't been able to talk my self out of the possibility. I started a thread yesterday, mostly being playful, volunteering to mod just for the purpose of hunting down and banning the trolls.
