I deleted and ran fixmbr - to no avail Ended up just having to repair windows (first i had to reinstall linux just to access windows)

Somewhere along the lines of installing Ubuntu I messed up - when it attempts to run the OS my screen turns to garbage of lines/static and such. I want to uninstall Ubuntu - BUT I HAVE TO MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T AFFECT WINDOWS! Just making sure that the obvious solution - reformatting the Linux partition - won't jack anything up, thanks!

I think Americans will be hesitant to recognize another "possible pandemic" since everyone freaked out about SARS a few years ago. Also, the prospect of Malaryia freaks me out - there was a book "The Hot Zone" with a pretty realistic look at it, and it is just overwhelming

I don't have a pic - and it's really hard to see because I covered the area in hot glue. Here's what to do - get a USB cord from something you don't need - I used a TI-83 connection cord. Strip the wire down about 6 inches for plenty to work with, save the Red and Black - cut off the foil, green, white, and string (if there is one) You want the LED on a parallel circuit which means: (positive wire) + \ \(Led's) / / (negative wire) - They are not connected in a series, because there wasn't enough power. I plan on re-do

No, Bubba Bob - it isn't a good thing - it's just fun to go out in my car after football games, wait in traffic for about an hour with the lights on and base pumping, and have people coming up to the car. As far as exhaust, I've got a flowmaster (round her' y'all just straight-pipe exhaust an' make it real loud - GIT-ER-DONE) In proper English, every idiot and his brother has loud trucks - but there are still some douche bags with stock civics w/ coffee can mufflers

Recently I've ordered quite a few packages from China via eBay - and I half jokingly/half seriously open them thinking they could have some bird flu in there

Okay, I downloaded a Linux Live CD, iccarus to be exact, and I've been fooling around with it lately. Eventually I figured it was time for a hard drive install. I formatted a 40gb partition as FAT32 - now what do i do. I am trying to find the specific path to the partition when I go to "select the installation drive" and the only thing I can recognize is the cd drive, every else is like "disc0/_____" Also, what do i need to do to be able to select Windows or Linux from my bootscreen? I will be needing to hop back and forth from one to another often TIA!

Don't be hating the crappy car with subwoofers (and lights, for that matter) You know how insects are attracted to bright lights? Bass pumping, light-shows in vehicles attract the ladies (especially the black girls!)

I'd like to hope it won't get big in America, but you really doubt it. Marty - did New Zealand ever have an anthrax scare like the USA?

You can put on the drivers first (before SP2) Just don't install programs and such - that's where you run into issues with SP2 since it's practically a new operating system. I'd say your best bet would be (probably not an option though) would be to install XP with and XP CD with SP2 already included.

from an actual USB port in the back of my computer
-
USB is composed of three wires - red (5V), black (ground) then green and white (data+ and -) I just took the red and black, and made a parallel circuit to power the LED's

IMO - the amp is most important! I replaced my amp (came with my brother's setup) and replaced it with a Kenwood (2502 or something) It really pushes the subs

My insurance was like 750 as a first year driver - that's the most stripped down insurance too, not the full. My second week driving I got a warning from a trooper commonly known to be a "butt" because he thought I was trying to street-race!!! I was laughing so hard (I drive a 95 Chevy Blazer = not fast at all) that he threatened to give me a ticket (there's a lengthy explanation of why he though I was racing that's not worth sharing at this time!). The second one was 50 in a 35 (where everybody drives 45) at 2:00 in the morning coming back from the last football game in the season. Since

Interesting - didn't really believe it till I read the article

Arg! I work till 6:30 EST, and I was thinking the same about the recording of the stream/unintentional piracy

Pretty good music - I've just been downloading (:(: I mean sampling their album!

Thank you all! (or y'all as they say around the south) Still driving safely (for a year now) My insurance actually dropped by $300, even though my car is only worth about $1000, for driving ticket/accident free for the first year (except for 2 warning tickets, but that's a different story)

I personally wouldn't be installing an indash cd player without any experience- too much to risk with electrical crap in your car. However, speakers and and subwoofers/amp/wiring kits are easy to install yourself

Looks pretty dangerous for just some simple lights - I knew a guy who got shocked by 240 Volts - knocked him temporarily and left some nasty burns
-
Yes, you would just have to find an appropriate wire to pull power from and use the correct resistor Be careful with the monitor open - shock hazard!

I fixed a screen on laptop last week. The back light didn't work at all - meaning the piece that powers the "bulbs" was working. I believe the replacement piece was about 50 on ebay. And just because I know you love lights in cars - I got curious today (which leads to modding generally) and I took out the light piece on my dome lights, which had 4 orange LED's, and changed out the two that point towards the backseat to green led's. If it looks good I will may switch out the front two to a different color. I know you love LED's in cars! (for the record, it's subtle and it only comes on whe

highly doubt it - wait for terrorist to confirm

I've never heard anybody complain about antect - but I'd look for something around $60 (unless you can really afford to pay for that specific PSU) When I was picking out my system (same CPU) I read a lot about the DFI board needing to be tweeked alot which is a big turn off for most PC users. Also, it doesn't read cheap memory, so you would have to invest more money into higher quality memory. I've heard great reviews on the high quality MSI socket 939 board, and I personally like my ASUS a8n-sli board
