  2. A liar will steal from you, and a thief will lie to you. They are hateful creatures. When I had my furnace installed I told the contractor it would be safe to leave his tools in the basement as it was only me in the house. He said "no way" I NEVER leave so much as a screwdriver on the job. EVER! And I've found even loaning tools is risky. Good luck getting that guy. Smart detective work on your part.
  3. Here's one to get you over the hump of the Christmas rush. Blast the elfs
  4. Ozone created by electric cars now killing millions in the seventh largest country in the world, Mexifornia, formerly known as California. White minorities still trying to have English recognized as Mexifornia's third language. Spotted Owl plague threatens northwestern United States crops and livestock. Baby conceived naturally. Scientists stumped. Couple petitions court to reinstate heterosexual marriage. Last remaining Fundamentalist Muslim dies in the AmericanTerritory of the Middle East (formerly known as Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Lebanon). Iran still closed off; physicists estimate it
  5. Whoo Hoo, Zzzip *BANG* It's techno time. Thanx!
  6. What happened to the neat "Techno" skin I was using for so long? I miss it, you all know I just HATE the blue, always have and always will.
  7. I'll use this opportunity to again thank all our brave heros that wear a uniform. Military and civilian.
  8. RIP Mr. Kim. My prayers go out to his young family.
  9. At home it lands on carpet long enough for critters to chew on it?? Home? Floor? Duh000!
  10. Heh heh, both I think. But if this weather is the worse in the nation... Everyone is really having great weather, cause it's not all that bad. The weatherguessers are getting worse and worse about being Chicken Little and almost sending a panic through the community. What's wrong or bad about this forcast? It's December, in SW Michigan.
  11. WhooooHoo! That was the answer. Thanx! My Sweet Brit thought that it was the thumbnail but wasn't sure how to fix it. He thought a reboot would do it. It sure was a mystery to me. Heh heh, but what do I know. At least now I know for sure it will print... We all know the cost of photo paper and ink. Thanx again to a great friend.
  12. OK, see this post. I have a strange thing going on here. The lovely pic of Superbilliebird that TT75 made for me won't show up in my pic file with his "suit" on. I downloaded it 3 times and in all of them he's still naked as a jaybird. Now, handplanes look just fine. So I opened the pic in my folder and Irfanview shows the "Iron mans" suit just fine. I uploaded it to my Photobucket account and it looks correct there. I rebooted and he's still naked, all three I downloaded. What's up my geeky friends? Can anyone explain this?

    Naked Parrot

TT! That is just perfect! He looks so handsome now... (jeesch, I gotta get to work learning photo software) Thanx again handplane, for the feathered one. I've already printed an 8x10 of "naked Billie" And I'm gonna do two 5x7's side by side of the feathers and Surperman for his folks for Christmas. Who knows, maybe he'll get inspired to clean up his act and grow his back. Man, whatta great team of friends we have here! Thanx again, all.

    The Arts?

Thanx, guys. I knew you would resolve the issue sooner than later. I didn't think it was bots tho.
  15. There was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job it was > to process all the mail that had illegible addresses. > > One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky handwriting to God > with no actual address. > > He thought he should open it to see what it was about. > > The letter read: > > "Dear God, > > I am an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension. > Yesterday someone stole my purse. > It had $100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next > pension check. > Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my fr

Heh heh.. Good job! I thought of that too, but I think he really needs Superman's indestructable suit. Or at least the logo.. (I've saved that one my friend, handplane. Thanx!)

    Naked Parrot

This is my new friend. He's 30 years old and lives at Advanced Landscape in White Pigeon, MI. I carry sunflower seeds for him just like the doggie cookies all couriers carry. He loves french fries so I treat him to one when I drop MacDonalds payroll just down the street. He always says HELLO when I walk in the door and dances until I give him his treat. Now, you'll all notice he has a feather plucking problem. Has had it for most of his life. Sooo.... I thought I could find someone to "photoshop" a superman suit onto this pic. Of which I'll print up and frame for his folks. Will someone help

    The Arts?

Seems like all we're getting is SPAM ads there. I was going to post a request for some artistic help up there, but.. see post "naked parrot"
  19. Hahahaha, never heard that one... (snowfall too?) Well, Liz. Our weatherguesser missed by a mile, again. It was sleeting and very slippery in the AM, but by 11 the roads were just wet. So I chugged along through 6 towns, 4 counties, 171 miles and 60 stops. Only saw one car in the ditch, but almost took out a big buck on US 131. SB just swept the front steps, no real snow to worry about. I'm still dreaming of a white Christmas.
  20. Now, I don't want to fan the flames. But here is Pete's post I saved from the ole TTV days. It makes sense to me.
  21. The problem I see is the different voltages used. If the PS does the AC/DC conversion AND the stepping down and separation of 3.3-5-12 volt applications, how do you apply that to the motherboard? Perhaps three different plugs connected to transformers of the required voltage, then wired into the proper leads on the motherboard?
  22. ON JULY 20, 1969, AS COMMANDER OF THE APOLLO 11 LUNAR MODULE, NEIL ARMSTRONG WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO SET FOOT ON THE MOON. HIS FIRST WORDS AFTER STEPPING ON THE MOON, "THAT'S ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND," WERE TELEVISED TO EARTH AND HEARD BY MILLIONS. BUT JUST BEFORE HE REENTERED THE LANDER, HE MADE THE ENIGMATIC REMARK "GOOD LUCK, MR. GORSKY." MANY PEOPLE AT NASA THOUGH IT WAS A CASUAL REMARK CONCERNING SOME RIVAL SOVIET COSMONAUT. HOWEVER, UPON CHECKING, THERE WAS NO GORSKY IN EITHER THE RUSSIAN OR AMERICAN SPACE PROGRAMS. OVER THE YEARS MANY PEOPLE QUESTIONED ARMSTRO
  23. Well, my friend. You sure have it made being off the grid. It's funny that we transmit power via AC, (most economical) but most electronics run on DC, as you already know. This link should help you. How Power Supplies Work
