  1. Hey Bubba Bob, Try this: Firefox keeps a backup file of bookmarks in the profile folder. I am assuming that in C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.ur6 the file bookmarks.html is corrupt or missing. Find the file bookmarks.bak and copy it. Rename it to bookmarks.html, and put it in that folder. I hope this helps, Matt
  2. Using Privacy Features. This should help you with cookies in firefox. Matt
  3. HAhahaha, that would suck
  4. That act requires the government to make records public. Privately-owned ISPs are not the government. There are tools to find the general region (the city, maybe), but that's as precise as you're gonna get. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, without some sort of Government warrent, finding personal info like that is close to impossible. As for region/city, you can check a site like this one can find the lcation of the closest hub to that sepcific IP address. Matt

  9. Got these in an email/ They're ok, not the funniest thing I've ever seen Must be pretty old, some of the "problems" expressed aren't really issues anymore: Alpha Geek - The most knowledgeable, technically proficient person in an office or work group. “I dunno, ask Rick. He’s our alpha geek.†Betamaxed - When a technology is overtaken in the market by inferior but better marketed competition as in “Microsoft betamaxed Apple right out of the market†CGI Joe - A hard-core CGI script programmer with all the social skills and charisma of a plastic action figure. 11. Yeah, the arcade should be back, we're just not sure when. Ever since the upgrade, Jeff had to remove it, and he's been working on getting it back in. Since there is another upgrade coming just around the corner, he may wait till after that one to continue replacing the arcade. Matt
  12. OK - Here's the deal. I don't know exactly what is going on here, and it is interfering with the true topic of this thread. I hope that you two can resolve whatever is happening. If you need to, feel free to PM a Mod/Admin if something is wrong. This thread is now locked. Wolfman2001, I am sorry that this had to be done. My most sincere hope for your situation. Matt
  13. What this person is doing is absolutely horrible. Please follow everyone's advise, and save copies of the emails, contact the police and the FBI, and watch your daughter. But also, I agree that you should NOT stoop so low as to start sending this guy a virus or anything. Then yes, he could fight back, and you could become in trouble. Here is another site that I think you should look at: http://www.cybertipline.com/ I hope that you can have this problem resolved quickly, safely, and peacefully. Matt

Hello all. Here's an update: Jeff was able to contact Dave, and what happened is he just went on vacation. Nothing's wrong. He is now back from vacation, but is having problems, and for some reason cannot access the site. Jeff and he are working on fixing that, and Dave should be back soon. Matt
  17. It is designed to only hide the visibility of the drives. If you go into Explorer and type in a file location or D:\ for example (assuming D is hidden) you will be able to access the drive/files. Matt
