thanks for the help guys...i figured it out in class after some trial and error cause i had to make some new variables and redefine some others looking forward to making the game later in the year thats gonna be a good challenge

hmm i really dont know what to think anymore I still havent upgraded and have been waiting for a while now but i dont have the need to because i dont wanna mess up my comp and have to reformat (even though the odds are pretty slim) and right now my comp is running great so i dont need sp2 slowing it down (i've heard sp2 is a bit of a resource hog anyone vouch for this?)

ya they have been having a lot of new sign-ups lately and probably want to slow it down when i signed up i remember that i could only sign up within a certain time window

umm okay heres a fresh one for you guys: my friends computer has a LOT of adware on it...running adaware personal as i type and so far have 300 critical objects...will download spybot later have determined that he has a cool web search problem as his home page is now http://213.159.117.134/index.php will post a hijackthis log if it comes to that (which it probably will) will download CWShredder to get rid of cool web search if you guys have any tips / other suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

have you tried right clicking the shortuct...going to properties and then "change icon"....that sometimes resets it even if you pick the same one....

in my case the total opposite is happening...well not 12 seconds in ie but firefox is faster than ie on my computer check your firewall to see if it is maby blocking firefox? does this happen on all sites or only one/some but not others...

ill have to try that at school our network is pretty budget n in some rooms the path to ie is blocked off so you cant get off the internet (already got around that by installing firefox on the c drives of the comps) lol the drive is hidden but shows up when you type it directly

its actually only 1GB which is overkill for most people anywayz ya theres a search feature and emails are sorted as convos if theres a lot of replys ect i like it so far

i am very grateful to pete c for taking his time to look at my HJT log a while ago when i didnt have the slightest clue what was wrong with my computer he has helped many people that way and i support him fully ps welcome to the boards DumbTerminal
