Very weird, please remove the people from your block list, if you don't want them there. B
-
Well, we're trying to figure out exactly we should cover so if any of you have an specific things you would like to see a tutorial on, please post them. Btw I have been working on the basic stuff such as making a post, page, where certain features are, etc. B
-
Weird, I'm looking into it though I think I have an idea... B
-
Hey bearskin, yes please post a screen shot, however it is most likely due to your screen resolution. B

Hi Everyone, This product I'm offering has a limited time discount (1 week) 20% off!! Here's some information about it below: In today’s world computer users worldwide are being targeted by so-called rogue applications. These programs are disguised, for instance, as trustworthy anti-spyware programs or registry cleaners. But they are only put on the market to scare you into buying these programs because they make exaggerated claims about the safety of your computer or, worse still, give erroneous scan results or put their own spyware in your system. These programs mutate like viruses but

Well, considering what has to be done and that 64-bit has been out for a few years now, I don't think my statement is too far off. Though I may be wrong. Here's some more facts: 8-bit desktop: 1975-1984 16-bit desktop: 1981-1990 32-bit desktop from 1987-2008 You also have to consider all the software out there. Just because 64-bit hardware is out that doesn't make the transition any faster. 64-bit hardware doesn't determine the new software standard. Point being that whatever the software platforms run on will be what we use, so until all software is 64-bit... Well, who knows how long tha

It will most likely take at least 10 years for everything to go 64-bit. Btw, I'm moving this to PC Support. B

Headphone/headset Suggestions
Besttechie replied to TheTerrorist_75's topic in Electronics & Hardware
Hey TT, Well, for about that price range I'd have to recommend my favorite portable headphones which I use daily, plus they come with a life time warranty (at least mine did) so if they break you send them back all you need to pay is shipping and handling, and write a small letter describing what's wrong with them. My recommendation is the Koss Porta Pro headphones, they're great. I love them. The best portable headphones I've ever used. They're light, easy to bring places, have great sound and bass. The only thing they don't have which you may be able to buy separately is the remote contr -

Works here Shane, you need to put the reason why it was edited in the box on the bottom left before you save it. B

Forum Upgrade Complete. However, the forums need to be slightly edited to get them back to the way they were before the upgrade. Whenever the forums are upgraded to a new version that's considered a major upgrade, I like to make it a fresh install (if you will) so I need to do some code editing. I'll get that done as soon as possible. Everything is functional or should be at least except for the search engine friendly URL's and the Live Chat link. If you find any bugs or problems please let me know. I'll be adding back the search engine friendly URL's and the Live Chat as soon as I can.

Within the next hour anywhere from 5:30 PM EST time to 6:30 PM EST time the forums will be down for upgrades. The upgrade shouldn't take long. It will most likely take 15-20 minutes if even that (assuming everything goes as planned). B

Hmm? If you're going to stick with a client you're best off with UltraVNC, in my opinion. B
-
That's fine too. Whatever you like best is what you should use. That's why it's called Personal Computing. B
-
They're a company, it's their business doubt the site will just disappear unless they go bankrupt or something. http://corp.logmein.com/aboutus.asp B
-
I'd also say give LogMeIn a shot. I've used both UltraVNC and LogMeIn (Haven't used RealVNC) and I liked both. LogMeIn is really nice if you don't want to install a client on every machine you have, you just need to make sure the service is running on the box you want to connect to. It's a web based client. The only thing the Pro version offers that interests me (unless they added new stuff that I haven't seen yet) is the file transferring. I'd definitely say try it out, it was also pretty quick for me. Secret Image In Hyperlink?
Besttechie replied to irregularjoe's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Hey TT, That's definitely possible, the image was hot-linked, if I recall correctly. Which would explain why when Joe went back to look at it, it was the regular image (I had already removed it) it was probably changed back by that time. B -

How To Take A Screen Shot Of Video
Besttechie replied to Honda_Boy's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
If you use Windows Media Player you can do this quite easily... Go to Tools => Options => Performance tab and you'll see something called Video Acceleration with a slider, move the slider all the way to the left so it's at None, then play the video in WMP and take the screen shot using Print Screen. See how that works out for you. B -
So What Have You Gotten For Christmas/hanukkah Or Whatever
Besttechie replied to Honda_Boy's topic in Open Chat
Well, I didn't get anything during Chanukah however, my parents are getting me a car since I just got my drivers license - here in New York you have to be 17 and have taken drivers ed in order to get it, if you don't take drivers ed you need to wait til you're 18. Anyway, we're looking at two cars... Honda Civic (4 door), and the Volvo S40. I like both a lot, so I'm really excited! Mandy also got me some presents... she tried so hard to find me a Nintendo Wii (she must have went to like over 100 stores), but she couldn't get one. So she got me two Wii games Zelda and Farcry as well as a Gi -
Hi Marty, While you are entitled to your opinion this thread will lead to nothing but flaming so I'm going to have to lock it. Thanks for your anticipated understanding. B
