welcome, she was on another forum and the Mods were not nice so i suggested here.

i found this interesting and all of these can be checked by any of you through the members button at the top. we have: 294 members with no posts 155 members with 1 post 72 members with 2 posts and only 32 of those are members that registered in the last 20 days. i can keep going on but like i said most just ask a few questions to get help since this is after all a tech support board and then they leave. their account is still here but that's all so they are not regular contributing members that participate in the rest of the forum. so how high of post count should some one have before we co

good question sethook. most of those registered members are people that needed tech support help and stay just long enough to get their question answered and then leave for good. some come back if they need more help but stay in the tech support section. hold on i'll look up more statistics for you right now. cause i just noticed that we've got almost 300 registered members with no posts at all. ohhh and sethook it may be a pompous rant like you said (which i find a little insulting but ok) but it's a pompous rant backed up by facts. i intend to shell out more facts to get us a more accurate v

OK people you just simply can't go by those stats. there are not 990 regular members. there is only about 85 - 95 regular members on this forum. remember when i put up the temp forum while BestTechie was down. we had all the regular members registered there as show at the bottom. exactly 85 people. http://besttechietemp.proboards70.com/index.cgi ok so a few stragglers were out of contact at the time. so lets say another 5, maybe 10 regular members didn't make it there. heck another 15 to make it an even 100 regular members. so now instead of the 4% voter turn out it's 36% voter turn out. pl

for example a place like this http://denver.craigslist.org/zip/ so what i mean is, what if someone gave you an old computer and you spent the money to upgrade it. even if you just use the case and power supply and hardrive that saves you a few bucks.

what are the rules about getting freebies and upgrading them. also does the system have to be new. there's always eBay.

sorry i hate to be a bit of a buzz kill but technically your still using an illegal copy. the license that you get from getting the music off napster doesn't work like that. your monthly fee only rents the music from them until the end of your service. and technically you sercomventing the copyright protection by doing this. so technically it's just as illegal as if you had downloaded it illegally for free to begin with. now that being said i personally would just use a direct sound recording like fubz suggested. it's a program that simply records all sound that is running through your system. -
ohhh there's so much more going on in the backgrounds than you guys can even imagine. btw jcl yes and no. it can but never will. M$ has made it so that every copy will not install on a mac. with help from apple by the way. apple doesn't want anything but os x to be on there too. another btw, jobs has just put the full cabosh on M$ trying to get disney or at least the disney animation movie distribution contract.

so a third party, non official, non recognized, driver is already supposed to be installed for you? hmm. where did you read that that driver was claimed to already be installed or where did you read that that print server was supported. http://zonetusa.com/DispProduct.asp?ProductID=115 hmmm i don't see os x on there. i see several windows, i see unix/linux, i see london, i see un..der.... pants??? nope! not in there. maybe you get a different list than i do, for being such a special person at apple tech support.

to be honest i still don't feel so good, so it's the usual for me. remember i've been in the dumps for about a year now. the bad luck and unhappy days stretch back even further than that. i'm used to it. that's why this place was so nice for me when we started. i posed alot trying my best to make everyone laugh cause it made me feel better. this place has been one of my escapes from reality. who needs reality when you've got this place. for me, revealing parts of myself and making people laugh here has been like therapy. remember your guys have been able to seen little parts of me even my loca

i know. i totally am. but like i said mythbusting is one of my things. i help out at the discovery channel mythbusters through one of the fan clubs. we are one of their official sources for myths and myth supports. mostly comprised of the crew, ex crew, and sometimes even adam and jamie. http://forum.mythbustersfanclub.com

i also highly recommend open office. it's a bit of a pain in the butt to install cause it's not just double clicking and installer pack like we're used to but it's easily the best for free out there.

ooooh defiantly, unless your also building a rendering farm that is. people forget how much time can be spent rendering video especially if your gone be doing any beside raw video and maybe still images. what kinda budget are we looking at and is this going to be for professional use?

[sarcasm] those are some pretty detailed, accurate and definitive results they got there [end sarcasm] some pretty weak testing if you ask me. totally ignore their Bogus O Meter and read their results. and i'm sorry but just simple posting the summarized results of someone else who has been shown to not be a very reliable source was pretty lazy in my opinion. also some of their so called results are speculatory at best. one thing you got to remember when dealing with mythbusting is the age of the myth. if the myth started 20 yrs ago well then you have to test not only modern equipment but the

(cocks shaked fist and shakes it threateningly at thesidekickcat's computer to make it work right) (turns the shaked fist at bozodog's doctor and threatens him with the same dreadful fate if he screws up) (adds blim to AOL Chat)

ok what tape format? for example are these miniDv tapes?

the other disadvantage to buying or building a gaming PC is the resale coast. think about how quickly and much lower the value of a PC goes down compared to. and now in some cases still most council gaming systems are backwards compatible so your old games will work but it is no so on most PC games anymore. i can't play most of my win 98 and older games without eming them. ohhh and btw to the comment about the PS controller not being easy to get used to. ummmm that's still the longest lasting controller out. and i fret the idea of someone not being able to figure it out especially any serious
-
just so you know i noticed that you didn't buy one that was meant to be os x compatible. most of the time you can cheat and get away with getting things to work anyways but you might want to look for that next time.

thank you guys so much for the support and ideas. like i said it's just been a ruff couple of years and it's been just been real bad the last couple of months. sometimes i feel so alone in the world being so different from anyone i know of and knowing that you guys are here for me helps alot. sorry i wish i had more time but i've only got a few minutes.
